Compilation of painted stock wheels

Painted my winter wheels Seahawk green during football season last year... unfortunately they did horrid.

This is my winter setup, this is actually plasti dip, the color that I used was blaze pink. If you decide to go with the plasti dip make sure you also get the clear coat for it as well, it seems that they are easier to clean when you clear coat the color.

Very nice! what did you pick them up for if you dont mind me asking? I would do white on WRB...or bronze or GS gold. GS gold would look sick.

Agreed ^ pink would look good too if ya have the balls to rock it. Run wheel spacers and they will look great.

I tried using glow in the dark and reflective paint and it didn't come out good at all so I had to prime and paint everything all over again. Probably not worth wasting your money on if it's from Walmart. A higher quality paint may work though.

They were originally silver, then some dummy "powdercoated" them black (or so he said, I think it's paint). I bought them and refinished the faces in oem BBS gold and kept the barrels black. Looks awesome. I'm going to be putting them up for sale this weekend once I take better pics.

Plus, imagining these wheels in your favorite color be it factory bright silver, matte black, or hot pink even, these wheels are f***ing good looking. Not that STi BBS wheels aren't but yeah, these are BETTER.
Yeah, I'd say Better is the exact word I would use to describe these wheels.
Wait, wait, were these even offered in the states? Might they be, could they be, are they JDM? Holy crap, everyone knows JDM is BETTER than USDM. Nah , they couldn't be. That'd be too much better. They're better but certainly not THAT much better...

Those are great wheels. Even though they are "only" 7"wide, does not mean they are a lesser wheel. Except for less weight. Not to mention a great offset for our weak wheel bearings.
Too man people are concerned with a flush look, just worry about how it all works.
I think they are among the best looking wheels made for our cars.
I have looked for a set for 3 years and only have come across a set of them twice and the sellers were asking for too much for me.
Remember that the option would add about $3000 to the cost of the car. Not many went for it.

They will with a 3mm spacer. I have those wheels with goldies and a 5mm spacer. I wanted to be on the safe side at the time. I will probably go down to 3mm at some point.

Thanks for the tip, are you still using stock wheel studs or did you go with extended ones? I really like the look of the OEM WRX wheels from the new models.
