Rear Strut Rattle

ok, so my right rear strut has started to rattle, even while going slower speeds. there is no clunking because trust me i blew the same strut and i know what the clunking sound etc... is and this isn't the case(in terms of superbly loud clunking something is going to rip through the bottom). this sound is just rattling, almost like something is loose and moving around. once again it's coming from the right rear and you hear it on well paved streets while driving, while making right turns, and over slight bumps. the sound is a rattle like something is moving around around the strut area. they are kyb gr2 struts for an 05 wrx for those that want to know. replaced the right rear 2 months ago after a goodluck streak of a year so hopefully not blown but doesn't sound like it did before in terms of loud clunking but it did rattle like this but louder before. just the whole "what the hell is moving around and rattling back there" type of sound what are my options of what it could be?

im having the exact same issue, however im on stock 02 struts w/prodrive springs. my local shop says that its the endlink that is broken, specifically the plastic grommet w/in the endlink that you put the bolt through that connects it to the swaybar. Im currently in the market to get the kyb-gr2's and new rear endlinks. by the way the endlinks are perrins. Second pair of rear enlinks the first were whitelines and i snapped those now this.

the tophat on my rattling strut was defective, causing the strut top nut to not be physically able to tighten it down, the nut was at the end of the threads, couldnt tighten any more, yet there was wobble room for the tophat between there, that was the rattle. Used my old tophat, problem fixed. yay
