Default My 1999 Subaru Impreza

What's goin on guys, new to the Subaru world and especially new to nasioc. I just bought a 99 impreza 2.2 and I'm looking for the cheapest way to lower it a couple inches since its only my daily. I want to get a nice rumble out of it without buying a full exhaust? Any suggestions? Thanks guys!

Glad to have another subi fan!!
Look at raceland coilovers, they are not too expensive but still pretty good springs,
Used parts are always good if you are going for cheap...
Im not exactly sure of the exhaust setup on that particular make and model, but you can try a catback exhaust from ebay, I have heard some great sounds from cheap ebay exhausts. You're luck to have a scoob, they take care of the sound for ya. Or you can try a muffler, sometimes they dont sound too good though, made that mistake with my first scoob.
Welcome!

Welcome!
I was taking a look at the racelands, they seem to be the way to go. I did a muffler delete on it yesterday and it honestly doesn't sound to bad at all, just a little raspy at high rpms. Thanks a lot guys!

I had a subie like yours and I went to an exhaust shop and got them to give me 2.5" pipe from the cat back, remove the resonator and put a magnaflow muffler on and it was $360. Sounded like sex. I sold the car but I have the muffler still. I might put it on my wagon

muffler deletes are a good cheap way but in terms of reliability, i do not know. You can create some turbulence in the exhaust that can over time do a number. But you dont have a turbo and the car is already pretty old so it should be a non issue
