Default New style intake mani on 20G ?

Wondering if anyone can confirm or deny. Will a newer style intake manifold, like an 04 STi, intake manifold bolt on to my 20g block, or will I have to get creative.

I want to run the newer turbo and intake piping, and have more room for a restrictor, but would like to keep my block.

Also would make upgrades a lot easier to get.

Thanks!

no it will not work
the bolt hole patterns are different
honestly finding good engine management is a far bigger problem

by running a 1" spacer under the intake manifold and a custom fuel rail setup, you can run a new style turbo.

it can be done with stock fueling system. but i think you have to bend the pipes a bit.

here is a picture of my engine with spacers and a VF37 front entry turbo. i now have a silicone inlet adapter on it. fits/looks a little better.

i made mine but, this is the only place i know to buy them

Awesome, that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

As far as engine management, I've found quite a few options. ViPek even makes a plug and play now, which is what I'm probably going to use.

I am currently running the plug in ViPEC ecu on the engine shown above. I love it. i have had it for about 5 years, and have not had any major issues.

starts up and runs like the stock ECU every morning and everything.

I also have a Link G4 in my other car, they are the same ECU but different software to tune them.
