Care to elaborate ? Not trying to be a dick, genuinely curious as I've always been under this impression. Ie cobbs warnings of running catless on their cat based stage two maps.

i recently contacted my tuner (turboxs) about this and their lead tuner said a retune is not needed switching to a catless downpipe if a protune was already done with my catted downpipe. just the check engine light fix when emissions time comes. i never did the swap anyways.

You said that it WILL overboost. That part is not correct. It MAY overboost would be more accurate.

My car before I swapped it was on a COBB OTS stage 2 map which was unchanged through two different catted down pipes (one bell mouth, one divorced) and one crappy ebay special bell mouth catless down pipe.

Not once did it overboost or throw a code.

So saying that it will do something isn't accurate. Giving them the warning that it could is.
