Default question on tuning below threshold

how do you do it? imo this is where you spend the majority of the tuning time with partial throttle driving, fueling and tuning at idle with cams especially, and just fuel economy and drivability in general. im no tuning expert but an desperately trying to get a holt of it all. so if someone can kind of give me some overall guidance on this, that would be great.

I like getting the car dialed in via the stock ecu and then run the UTEC in SD mode with a low crossover point (17% TPS). It gives a smoother transition and allows me to run the UTEC for different maps based on fuel, boost, etc.
