Let me follow up with another question...

If I install this and drive (like a normal sane person ) for a few hours to the dyno tuning session, will there be and adverse effects?

The stumble would probably still be there since the massive compensations are still in there when no longer needed.

So with the new fuel line/fpr setup you can zero the ELC table?

iwsti post claiming low load knock goes away.
the typical low load -1.4 "just noise, or random" magically disappears.

For those interested there are two primary threads outside of nasioc where for the past few months people have been posting up the details of the 3 ft hose mod + tune. I linked near towards the end of the threads:

I will be doing the 3' fuel line tomorrow and be sending out datalogs to Eric@torqued Performance. Ill let you all know how it goes.

This stutter has been a problem since I went with 1000cc injector's and on 91, It is only real bad at low rpm's at 1700rpms where I start bucking and stuttering. Strangly I do not have tis issue with e85, though there is still a noticable stumble at 2800rpms.

Not sure if your talking to me Maxwell, however he is tuning my car through the Cobb AP until I go OS, but I do not know if he is updating the Pulse Adder Table's.

On to the good new's I am on my 4th revision on my tune since I did the 3' fuel line replacement. Car is much much smoother in the 2600-300rpm's and seems to be doing better over all since the mod. However I still get some nasty mis fire's in the lower rpm's, 2nd gear 15-20mph and 3rd gear at 35mph, It will run alright for a little bit then start mis firing, Eric doesnt know why it does it. On E85 it doesnt do it just on 91.

Hopefully the latest revision will fix the issue but I doubt it.

Overall this is a must do mod! Very happy@

With an appointment, does Phatbotti do e-tunes via a remote desktop connection? So, if I didn't want to send logs back and forth, can you just do the tune live, remotely? Using either Windows Remote Desktop, Norton, or some other client.

A tuner my friends use does this all the time on EVOs and DSMs, and some Subarus. I am asking because I need a remote tune for when I first start up my new engine. I'd rather not tow it across the state.

I have never done that. But it would really only make sense with an AP and real time tuning. If you're opensource the 5 second step of sending the email would be all the time u would save.

And if you have an AP I would have to unlock the map for it to be done and that defeats the whole purpose of paying the money to be able to use the Protuner software.

Have you ever figured out how to disable the P0420 code on your open source tune?

'12 WRX stg 2 catless dp.

I tried two washers on the O2 but the error comes back sometimes. I have been clearing it from time to time with Torque on Android.

I don't have it. I just drove up, Mikey jumped in, plugged in his laptop, we were for a ride, he tuned it and that was it.

are you opensource? if so, just find a local with a tactrix cable....you can either send it to me, or just scroll down to the 0420 CEL and disable it. Mike may have had an outdated definition.

Any comments on what a "safe" peak timing setting would be on E85?

No. This will depend entirely on what area of the map you're referring to and the mods done to your car etc.

Hi,

Do you have any experience with JDM spec C?

I need an e-tune, spec C is boosting 21 psi and agressive timing out of factory.

It feels good stock, however it needs RON100 to run (not US octane). Is it possible to make it run better on RON95 (91 US oct)?

Sounds like it needs a de-tune.

I'm getting tuned by Mike at the end of sept in jax but need a map to hold me over since Im getting new parts installed.

He said he would email me a map no problem once the work is done.

My only issues is not having the ROM software of cables to flash the map...

Any suggestions or locals who wouldnt mind flashing his map for me??

Thanks...
