So I just picked up my first Subaru this passed August. It's a 2000 Subaru 2.5rs. Well I usually fill her up at the bp near my house every 3 days or so (I commute alot). Recently I noticed I can't fill her up all the way it stops right before the full mark. Now usually it goes a little passed that and rests on the F. I got alot of friends into Subaru but since they're usually away at school my time with them is limited. Almost positive it's the Evap line and I wanted to know is it an inexpensive easy fix for the experienced? What should I do. I don't wanna half ass this. I LIVE IN NJ I CAN'T/DONT PUMP THE GAS MYSELF. I wish I could but its illegal here. I know I think it's stupid too and only comes in handy when I'm sick or it's cold out.

I've had that issue happen to me before, but only at Mobile gas stations, it's weird. It stops on it's own and it's not full, and it keeps stopping and stopping. No idea.

My old car use to cut the fueling off pretty quick every now and then. It was weird, all I had to do was not put the nozzle in all the way and it worked fine. Put it in enough so it goes in the tank but maybe an inch or half an inch from being in all the way

My Saab 900 used to do the same thing at certain stations. Turning the handle about 45 degrees usually helped. Or holding the handle at less than full blast.

Ive always hated it, you don't know how giddy I get when I go out of state and get to do it myself. Only time I like it is when I'm sick or it's absolutely freezing out. It sucks cause I'm pretty sure the problem is that when I say fill it up cash they over fill it the tiniest bit so they get a flat number. But then I drive away and I smell like gas until I drive enough. I'm afraid with them doing that they've flooded my Evap line.
