Looks like they are an STi part. I don't see any mention of them being specific to the S206.

Not a huge issue...
The STi skirts typically are seen on the S206 images. Same is for the STi Sport Muffler. Is it really an S206 exhaust... Yes. Can you find it on others models like the A-line and bases, yes. It's the fact that the part debuts on a particular model and ends up with associated names. The misconception is the knockoff skirts are labeled directly as S206 side skirts. |

Except whoever makes them really put a lot of time and effort to make it look like the real deal which even includes the STI emblems and paint protecting rubber strips. All the fasteners are oem and so on. So to anyone looking at them installed they would not be the wiser. The tip off though is they are fiber glass instead of plastic. when you flip them over and look on the inside you can see that they are a fiber glass piece. My OEM V-Limited lip is plastic so I assume all other pieces like that by subaru would be also. So that is why I came to the conclusion that they are knock off side skirts. Also the STI badges on them are stick ons (didn't even know those things existed). I assume the OEM side skirts come with them already attached or are actually part of the skirt. But for the money they are rediculously close to what the real deal items would be like. IMO they are a bargain. After I get my rocker panel replaced (cracked it a while back) I will install them and take pictures. I will include pictures later of them off the car as well. |

You addressed main variations:
- Fiberglass not plastic - STi emblems not attached The authentic also have double sided tape already on the backside of the skirt, behind where the emblem is already attached. They also have more mounting points than the replicas, as no doubled sided tape is included by STi when you purchase authentic(aside from the preinstalled tape) The problem is when the skirts are attempted to be passed on as authentic. That's unethical and a disgrace. Sell and Own them for what they are. Enjoy, the replicas are a stylish bargain. |

Still glad I ordered the real deals versus the reps. Keeps with my oem + theme.

These replicas have all the same mounting points as the OPs authentic pieces (I compared all his install shots to the set I have including hardware). Im not joking when I say whoever made these went the extra mile to produce a near perfect clone minus what material that was used to make them. As for the STI stick on badge, the side skirts also have the indentation they are suppose to fit into. So not putting them in would look half assed. The HT Autos replicas have HTA in that spot, the BaysonR replicas have nothing there. These guys other than using fiber glass included ever single detail in this replica. Not sure why though. The only flaw in these because they are fiber glass is the inside edges you dont see when installed need the edges lightly sanded to smooth them out. The only bonus to them being fiber glass is if anything happens I can repair them easily unlike the plastic pieces that just break. |

Just as kyletakahero... I'm all about authenticity.
Oddly enough, I own both authentic and replicas. I only have the replicas because I own authentics. Track in replicas, or remove authentic. Replicas go on late fall because I know ill take the car out on nice winter days. All depends. I thoroughly explain when people ask in person and point out the differences though. The replicas I have do not have the same mount points. I can see why the new replicas being produced would, because a person or company has the audacity to try and sell them as authentics. I have pics posted in both authentic and replicas. From standard pics no one can tell. |

Got to remember it's all about the almighty dollar (audacity).
I also have a replica TS spoiler sitting in its box which actually has the screw holes with threads built in to go along with the double sided tape. whoever made it used a mold made from an original so it actually has the part number and other stuff from the original STI TS spoiler it was replicated from lol. The rest of my stuff is authentic. The authentic V-Limited lip I have has been scuffed pretty bad due to how steep my driveway is at the bottom. didnt think about it when I first came to see the house (bought it recently) and screwed it up a little but I figure that will be my beater lip and I will buy another one later. Car has too much front overhang . backing in to it and pulling in at an angle works perfectly fine so the next one is safe.I'm the type that part hordes until I am ready to do it all in one shot depending on what it is, EX: cosmetics, performance upgrades, ect. |

looks great. is removing the skirts actually necessary? When i did bottomline skirts on my GD, I just jacked the car up, popped the clips, drilled the holes and put the clips back in. Yes i had to lie on the ground, (lift would have been easier) but I eliminated the step and time of removing the skirts.
