Not finished yet. I received my first invoice today from TiC to cover the engine work and some other items. The clock is ticking - they have a targeted completion date of April.

I'm sure I will be excited when it does finally get finished but right now I'm into my 3rd year of just spending money on something that's hundreds of miles away.

This thing grows slower than my 401K!

So I realize that your car has a lot of r&d attached to it, but could you give us ball park for investment outside of engine mods or total?

I think the majority of people would be happy with an ej255 with an exhaust and tmic, this could give a more accurate total cost estimate.

Marty's car is not like the normal TR's. Its longer due to the custom exhaust (the engine didn't fit the standard chassis), Has a whole different fuel tank and fuel tank location, Inboard front susp, Scoops, special intercooler mounting, front wing, on and on...
This TR is standard, Takes any EJ/5speed and is ready to ship to Cali, Its in "KIT" form and the owner opted to buy his own wheels, and seats.
Cost with Carbon fiber wing, Matt black powder coat, and me running the brake and clutch hard lines was 13500.00.

I think you stole my idea.... out of my head. Jk, but this is about what I was thinking of. Your craftsmanship is amazing. Are you located in Columbus?

True. If I had the money to collect something though, I can honestly say it wouldn't be a 80's ANYTHING!

Default Fender fabrication

Here is the first photo I received from Adam Beck on the custom aluminum fenders he is making for the car. The leading/trailing edges may end up being cut at an angle instead of being straight across.

I talked to Tony Barber from TIC this past Saturday. He said that lots of little stuff has been done but nothing that would justify any new pictures.

They still have a targeted completion date of next month for their portion of work. After that it will go back to Kentucky for Danny to install the body panels.

I am hoping to have the car back to Georgia ready to title and register by May or June at the absolute latest.

Default Paint work to start

I talked to my painter this week and he's to pick up the hood, side pods and intercooler scoop from Danny's shop some time in the next week or so.

Everything will be the new Camaro Synergy Green except for the center recessed portion of the hood, which will be satin black.

I'll put up pics when available

Sill looking at having the car ready for registration by early May

So is your work on hipowernut's car already done, and it's just up to TiC to finish the powertrain stuff?

And what is the latest on that aspect?
