Hey folks,
Fairfield County Sports Car Club is holding its annual rookie school on March 23. You can pre-register for the event on MotorsportReg.com and all the details are noted there. http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...B0208398333653 The event is a good way for a novice to get a handle on the fundamentals of autocrossing. If you are in the area and are looking to get into autocross or have friends that want to get into it, this is a really good (and inexpensive) way to get an introduction. We also have our first non-points event of the season the day after on March 24 on the same lot used for the school. You can register for that at the below link. http://www.motorsportreg.com/index.c...9CA191EDE63195 Any questions, feel free to PM me or reply here. Harvey Event Co-Chair

*...hmmm, I wonder if I would qualify...*
*clicks link* *reads* *...well, I've only done 3 or 4 autocrosses, and never done any ax schools before...* *...no R-compounds, so I'd have to drive the STi and not the 350Z...* *...so that's what John Brennan's doing now. Nope, no chance of convincing him I'm an autocross rookie.* ![]() For anyone interested, these autocross schools usually offer A LOT more runs and one on one instruction than is available at a normal autocross. I highly recommend these for anyone who is interested and eligible. |

I have forgotten if I have done autocross before. No, really.....I can't remember. I did just remember that I need to remove some decorations from my garage walls.....

I took this school last year. The instructors I had were current/past national champions. It's hard to not listen to what they have to say.
As posted above, you get instant feedback then you do the element exercise again immediately.I had my GoPro running during my exercises for my review later <Link to Training videos> |

I remember I got pipped to FTD by a hair back in 2009. It's fun, do it. I usually don't start my motorsports season until Memorial Day after a few years' experience learning the hard way.
