Default 2013 wrx sti limited question

Hello all. First time posting looking for some knowledge. I recently purchased a 2013 WRX STI Limited 500 miles ago. I am coming out of a 2010 WRX.

Question 1: When I am on the highway over 65mph there is shaking in the steering wheel. I brought it back to dealer and they rotated and balanced. I just picked it back up, It did nothing to satisfy the issue. Anyone else experience this?

Question 2: Why does it seem like my 2010 WRX was faster? I get the that the gear ratios are different 5 vs. 6 but the '10 wrx seemed like it had more pull.

Other than that I love it. Great sound, Interior etc. Cobb access port is on the way. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I do not experience the steering wheel shakiness at speeds of 65+. Is this consistent over various roads? Should have the Subaru dealerships mechanic drive it.

Stock for stock in a straight line from a dig the 09+ wrx should be on par with an STi. Throw some turns into the mix and the STi will show it's dominance.

As for your "shaking problem". You just threw down some serious coin, the dealer should do what ever it takes to solve your issue.

No mods on the 10 wrx. The steering isn't prohibitive but for the price I was thinking the highway ride in 6th gear would be smooth as silk. Dealership has been good, I spoke with them tonight and they said to drop it off and they will check for the possibility of a bad "tire bead". I will let you know if they come up with anything. The tech told me there have been a few documented instances of this and they will get to the bottom of it.

Shaking of the steering wheel is never normal in any case. Use your warranty. A lot of things can cause it however, from a misbalanced tire to a slipt belt to unicorn poop.

Fill out your profile also.

My 2012 STI Limited never had any issues with the steering wheel shaking...at any speed.

As for power, do you have your setting on "S#" (Sport Sharp)?

Remember, everytime you shut of your car, "S#" (Sport Sharp) drops to regular "S" (Sport).

Have them align the car. My factory alignment was so bad I trashed the stock Dunlops by 27K miles. Andrewtech fixed it up because the dealer saw no issues with the alignment (it was bad, trust me). I always just wrote off slight steering wheel vibrations as part of a little NVH in a somewhat cheap car, that wasn't the issue, get it fixed!

I've since gone to a Cobb OTS stage 1 map but there was a VERY noticeable difference in S and S#

The only time I've ever experienced shaking or vibrations is from ice/snow build up in the wheel wells or in the wheels.
Are you driving in an area with a lot of snow and ice?
