Mods can close this thread. I got all the info I needed. Just wanted to give the stuff I still had to the new owner and if they wanted to sell it back I was gonna take it. But it is dead. Oh well. New project.

I use to work for carmax and a car like that, I am sure an employee purchased it.

Employees have first dibs on auction cars, but depending on mods you have on the car it has to pass smog. If I saw this car on the auction lot I would definitely buy it.

Not all carmax locations do auctions so im sure you have to find out where they auction their cars in your area.

I purchased an 03 wrx aspen white with 32,000 miles on it 3 years ago. I had to buy a stock downpipe bc it had an aftermarket down pipe.
