Yeah, that raised impreza looks funny with those tires. The XV struts (believe it or not) might be a little too much of a raise unless you radically change the wheels. Also, where exactly does one get Xv struts?!

How does this lift effect the control arms, axles, drive shafts, and such and such?

haha My friend with a Leggy GT is good friends with the owner of IIR. I'm gonna massage him and see if he'd be interested in cutting me a deal since these are brand new, in exchange for placing a decal on the car for him. lol

I should have phrased it differently, I meant, where would someone get struts that were't $1k each, because that's likely what a dealer would charge, or at least what i'd assume

Again, anyone for reference with a DIY or a pic reference of how to access the fog bulbs? Tried looking at it today, but without lifting the car, I didn't care. Plus, one of my HID ballasts was bad. : (

You just have to remove the three clips as shown in this thread:

doesnt make much sense to have them on in bad weather if they add hardly extra light in good weather.

Say the wrong things to the right people? Who knows.

Anyone have trouble with their rear suspension knocking? Awhile back I had this problem and brought it in. They tightened stuff up and it went away. Is my "Spirited Driving" a little much for my car?

My suspension doesn't knock, it's more of like a "errr" noise. Like, when I get out of the car. Sounds like a slightly loose e-brake mixed with the cold and damp weather. Kinda like that brake noise..

So sprayed off my car today to get some of the salt off, and found 2-3 more rust spots on my hood

Already had one in the front of my hood that I quickly fixed and put touch up paint on, but these new ones really piss me off. Here's a pic of the spots:

I've read that a couple people on here have been able to have them fixed under warranty, is that right? I didn't mind fixing that one on the front of my hood myself, but now with these I'd rather have them fix it and do it right. What do you guys think?

Car is going in on monday for service appt. They are going to fix the chip then. Dealer just told me they will have to take pics and send to subaru to see if they will cover it. This is my 7500 mile service btw.$119. Is that close to what others are paying?

Ill let you know what happens on the pai t chip warranty claim.

Wait 119 for an oil change wow that's pricey you are getting rimmed hard not even a regular shop charges that for an oil change and tire rotation. Time to DIY or carry your own filter and oil to an independent mechanic

Not even close! 35 for oil/filter, 1 hour of my time in my garage.

Do they at least kiss you first?

I thought hitting the service intervals was important to maintaining the warranty. If something happened subaru could say well that would have been caught during the service inspection and prevented but since you negelected to follow... blah blah blah

Am I wrong?

Yes and no...it is important to maintain the service intervals, but there's nothing that says the dealer HAS to do them....they can't void a warranty because you choose to do your own maintenance.

I don't follow the dealer service interval. Just keep receipts that certain work has been done and you're fine.
