Anyhow, to get a set of those 99.75 pistons you would have to find some in stock. I just checked a couple of big distributors and they don't have any. |

Just to give a slight update.
What the OP stated is somewhat correct. Firstly, there is no Illinois office to shut down. All 3 US facilities still exist and are operational. California, Indianapolis (electronics), and Mooresville (electronics) are all operational and open for business. The number of people in the California office is reduced. This is causing inefficiencies in normal processes. Cosworth is committed to correcting these issues. This is one of the main reasons for the restructuring is to correct the problems for a better future. It is also easier for a company such as Cosworth to handle inquiries through vendors as those vendors and distributors are usually the forward facing between Cosworth and the end user. Again, Cosworth US is open for business. Unfortunately it may be a less than ideal situation. The Subaru community is important to Cosworth. Thank you for your support. |

![]() Thanks for the direct response, and sorry for being wrong about the Indiana facility. I was going by the website change which had the facility disappear and I mixed up my I's. Very happy that things are being worked out, I am looking forward to seeing that box arrive soon! |

My understanding is that they are moving more towards electronics type stuff.
Plus they haven't really kept pushing forward and developing new things on the automotive front. Yeah, 5 years ago their stuff was awesome but now everyone else has caught up and they haven't improved. In fact, a lot of their automotive stuff is now outsourced anyway. For example, it was like three years after the new GTR came out before they had a set of pistons and rods, and the rods aren't even made by them. |

I would love to know how to actually reach someone from Cosworth US. I have sent countless emails, left more messages than I would care to have and am still yet to actually speak to anyone since January. The last correspondence was from Ken about a month ago(via email saying he was going to call me). If you have a way to reach them or are employed by Cosworth US, I would love to know how I am to proceed. Please restore my faith in Cosworth.... Regards, J.J. This is common.. When I ordered autoexe parts for my speed6 they would charge me then refund the money.. And it took 3 months plus to get the part and I would be re-charged once it shipped.
be patient.. |

USA is chasing Cosworth away. Meh, I'm over it. By now I'm used to the U.S. getting cheap non-quality goods because of the purchasing characteristics of the many people who shop at Wal-mart who cause the expensive, but quality manufactures to trickle away.

Update: Still waiting to hear from anyone at Cosworth. Looking at other pistons. Talked to the JE sales rep, he recommended not ordering the 4032 custom pistons because of my eventual swap to a 3071 or GT30R, stating they would not handle the power. Still would consider Manley/CP/Wiseco... But yeah.. no response from my original rep at Cosworth even after leaving a few VM's and emails.
I am still holding out some hope, but I simply won't beg forever for a company to take several hundred dollars of my money. Especially when it isn't even working. |

Oh man....
I was just forwarded this by my customer. I am really bummed on them right now, they owe us (him) an engine, oil pump and intake manifold. I won't name the big vendor that sold us the parts, knowing full well this was going on but I think its super shady. A week before our order cosworth tried to get about 15k out of us for two builds and I am very unimpressed with that now knowing that they knew they would not be able to deliver. The race team I worked for had nothing but good dealings with mahle/cosworth and I had always looked up to them. I really hope they figure this out and I really hope they return to their former glory. Oh and I really, really hope they deliver our goods owed for months now, otherwise I owe my customer a lot of money. Buyer beware. FYI, anyone owed parts, you need to talk to Ken Jacobs, he is the only one left who can help you. |

Hi everyone,
Please PM me on here for my email and I can assist how I can. Please limit this to serious inquiries. I am just trying to be straight forward and get through this period of time. There will be some issues or difficulties during this time, but it is to better handle the US market. Also, the electronics division is Pi Research data acquisition /chassis controllers /telemetry...etc and Pectel control systems. The main focus of Pi, Pectel, and Cosworth Electronics in the past was typically with professional motorsports and club motorsports which is why it may not be a household brand as well. Thank you |

Stuck it out, got notifications on when the parts were shipping and bam. Had to get the tracking number myself since no one there was reachable but I have to thank Ken for coming through on these with out any other sales staff.
![]() They still need more help, I hope corporate over in the UK realizes this and implements more staffing. |
