I got a few typical suspension goodies, plus a turbo back exhaust and an accessport from cobb. Should have left it just like that, actually.

Suspension, exhaust and some sort of tune. Then depending on the year brakes, more power .

Hello all! I will be moving to Colorado Springs late this summer. I know my stock summer tires on my 2011 wrx will be fine for a bit but what about for the winter? I dont think it snows that much to put winter tires on unless I take a trip up the hill but any suggestions on a "under $200" tire for the winter would be apprieciated.

Just get all seasons. If my gti can make it through the winter in Utah on stock all seasons, there is no reason for an awd car to not be able to.

Anyone know where I can buy some Satin Black Vinyl wrap in the valley? I need it to be about 2' wide and maybe 5' long.

Odd thing happened to me the other day. So I was working at a school over spring break and wearing a Rallysportdirect hat (I don't normally wear hats at work unless school is out) and the Principal came to talk to me and then told me not to wear the hat at his school because the logo looks like the shocker symbol. I told him it wasn't meant to be, but now that I've looked closer it seems to be patterned after the shocker. Is it there any truth to that?

The girlfriends 2003 n/a lancer engine crapped on us last night. Where is the best place to source a new/rebuilt engine?

Hey, looking for the best local place to swap out the turbo on my 2002. I've got over 150,000 on the stock turbo and have started going threw oil. I see oil on the hose on the pressure side of the turbo so I guess the seals are gone. Was honestly planning on selling it but with the DOD furlough coming up I need to keep it going a bit longer. Plus I've really kept the maintenance up on it and know what I've got. I saw references to Solid Autoworks but are there other shops that could do a good job? I am in the Ogden area but can bring it down to SLC if needed. If I can't get the Turbo swapped economically I may just put 'er on KSL and be done with it. It'll be the cheapest WRX on there, LOL!! I'd try the swap myself but figure I'd muck it up. thanks!

Just pay a fellow member to do it for you. Its an easy swap. You could probably get a used td04 for extremely cheap.

Would work for me, anyone up for the job? There are several TD04 on KSL.com right now. I could pick one up and pay/help with the install.

Oh, and what about those "ported and polished" TD04 listed on KSL? I don't really expect much if any benefit on my pretty much stock car but are they a good quality and worth the asking price? Thanks all!!

I'd just find the best condition td04 with lowest miles. I don't feel a P and P td04 is going to do much.

I'd offer to help but my schedule is slammed with school and being out of town.

Go me

Somebody must want to help this fine gentleman out?!

I am with you on the P and P but seems like $250 for a rebuilt TD04 vs a used low mileage one isn't too bad. Would make me feel better knowing I should have a turbo on it that's gonna last a long time.

Edit: Just realized that I had put Mobil 1 5W-20 in the car vs the 5W-30. Wonder if all I am seeing is blow-by from my stupidity. I used the oil for my truck... Hmmm. Maybe a quick oil change while doing the diff and tranny this weekend just to see what happens.

Does anyone know if you can pass SLC emissions with the Catalyst system "Not Ready"? Or if you can pass with a check engine light for a throttle position sensor. Every time it goes to check the Catalyst if becomes ready but throws a stupid code for throttle position sensor low input.

I was about to say, "huh" and then did a google search. Seems lots of subie owners do love the shell. Guess I'll source that today and use it when I change the oil this weekend.

Hmmm, wonder if I still have the M1 0W-40 around from my Bimmer?

Where do you find the Shell Rotella locally?
