Default Stage 1 how soon?

Picking up a 2013 limited STi next week. The most (at least for now) I want to do with her is get a catback, SR intake, and the accessport to go stage 1.

How many miles should I break her in before going to stage 1?

Could I go stage 1 right away and break her in this way?

Thanks for any advice!

Seems lpeople are pretty split between the drive it like you are going to drive it vs by the book 1k break in. I personally took both opinions and drove quite gently for about 350 miles, then started with some occasional 5k shifts and redlines more towards 500 miles. I went stage 1 at 550 miles. Now I'm just sorta logging with ccasional redlines to make sure everything is cool. Just make sure you are comfortable with questionable warranty reliability

Not sure if you meant SF intake, but the only OTS maps Cobb currently has for your car are for the AEM or Cobb SF intakes. And your stock intake ofcourse.

I think the factory tunes are garbage, so I would go stage 1 immediately.

As bacalhau16 mentioned, make sure you have the correct intake if you are going to be running our off-the-shelf (OTS) maps. We only support the stock intake, Cobb SF, and AEM intake for this car. There are specific different sets of maps for each of those intakes (it is critical that you run the correct intake map). You can find these maps in the maps section at cobbtuning.com. If the short-ram intake you have is the Cobb SF intake, the map you reflash must have the "+SF" identifier in the map name. If it is a different intake, then you will need to get a custom tune for it.

You can go ahead and install the Accessport during the break-in period if you like. I would still follow the break-in procedures as recommended by Subaru regardless of whether you are on the factory tune or have installed the Accessport.
