Default Better ground clearance than Jeep?

Come on! The new Crosstrex has MORE ground clearance than a Jeep Wrangler? I find that hard to believe??
I am a off road 4x4 ATV guy and the Crosstrex makes me feel like i'm driving a street legal ATV.
Didn't buy one yet, but was really impressed with the test drive,, what chased me away was the salesman,,, he looked drug induced, like he was in la-la land where I had to keep repeating myself asking him a question that he didn't know the answer, where every answer was: "I don't know, I have to find out" he wasn't very excited about selling me one,,, you know what I mean?
Thats why I am here asking you guys questions cause the salesmen don't know a thing!

XV is a decent car from what I've seen. I like the Outback more though.

I like my Crosstrek. With a K. Not an X.
Check out www.cars101.com for more info on it.

What wrangler are you looking at? Even the sport has 8.8", and it goes up from there. The XV is only 8.7" But, put the same tires on there, and I bet you'd get that extra 0.1"

you have to remember they measure that at the absolute lowest point.. so the wrangler will be from the pumpkin to ground.. with the smallest tire avail, I could see it..

If only the usdm crosstrek came with the eyesight package like the jdm version, then I might have one in my garage.

I wish the XV came with a turbo'd engine.

we have a 2013 outback, 8.7" clearance. I hope never to test if that's enough.
