Default What's this hose for?

Hey guys, changing oil today and noticed this little hose looks bad, is it for coolant? (just don't want to pop it off and have all the coolant run out). Part # anyone? Thanks
Crap, can't upload the pic. Anyway, its a 3 inch rubber hose at the bottom of the block next to the oil pan, makes a 90 degree bend. Anyone? Bueller?

Post a picture. Use a site like imgur or photobucket then use the html code to post it here.

Oil cooler hose? Does it have a metal thingy to help keep the 90 degree bend?

Anything rubber that big down there is going to be coolant, if it looks bad change it. Sure would be nice for it to tear open when your miles away from home.....

There is an oil cooler hose that is very short, 3-4 inches long and makes a 90 degree bend. It's also next to the oil pan.

There are no hoses 3" in diameter anywhere. coolant hoses are ~1 1/2" ID... way under 3" OD... he has to be talking about length when he says 3".

Yeah, that 90 degree bend is what made me think of the oil cooler. Mine was looking bad, but it was the oil cooler gasket "misting" the area. Since changing it has been nice and clean.

Can I just cut a piece of hose and bend it? I'd have to order the subaru part.
