Default Adjusting odometer on '04 STi cluster swap

Hey all, I know there are quite a few threads on the compatibility of gauge clusters and years of cars, but I'm more interested in the mileage situation. I bought a 2004 STi gauge cluster to swap into my '02 bugeye. For those who have done the swap, how did you go about either documenting correct mileage, adjusting the new cluster to match the actual cars mileage, etc. Best case scenario obviously would be for my sti cluster to read correct mileage, but if not i just want to her my options.

Thanks in advance!

I was lucky enough to get one with a couple thousand more miles than my actual miles so I just waited and swapped when they matched. These guys used to offer the service of getting the mileage changed on the new cluster: http://www.tacomaspeedometer.net/services.html. You also me able to find a speedometer repair shop locally that can do this for you.
