Yeah, the video quality was pretty low, my wife did the drive and bought the video. It's in SD, interlaced, and shows the dashcam view plus a PIP of the driver. Not really that much to see.

I took my own photos with my SLR and THOSE were better.

Angry Not reputable, awful customer service

So, this sounded like a fantastic deal. My wife bought a package for me for my birthday in the Ferrari 458. Fantastic, right? Well, they cancelled on us the day before saying there was an engine problem. To make up for the inconvenience, and since the next day available was in October (first was in May) they would add two laps.

Sounds even better, right?

Yeah, well they cancelled with the racetrack for tomorrow, and didn't even notify us. Keep in mind that it was for 8 am, on a day that I work and had to take time off for. So we find out by calling the track, since Racingbox still has not returned a phone call, and has been extremely spotty with their emails. (Returned one request from her and none from me)

At this point, the whole thing is just a huge disappointment, and my wife and I feel like we've been taken for a ride. I have no idea if they'll jerk us around any more, and at this point I'd be happy with a refund, if only they'd respond...

I sure hope you paid with a credit card! If so, give them a call, explain your story and get your money back.

I did this and drove an F430 for 3 laps.

Yes, they do instruct you to "limit" the cars. I'm assuming it depends on the instructor you get paired with because mine told me to keep it below 5k and I regularly shifted well after 7k. The instructor actually encouraged me to drive it as hard as I could: full throttle out of nearly every turn, aggressive downshifts, lack of braking.

And you do get to choose the car. I picked the F430 over the Gallardo and Aston (can't remember which one). From what I was told, there are two tiers of cars you can pick from. I had the basic package. The more expensive package allowed you to choose between a 458, Aventador, SLS AMG, GT2, and one other car I believe. I would choose the Aventador if I did it again.

I highly recommend that everyone does this if they can. Totally worth it to see what those cars can do.

Still no response from RacingBox. You have to loathe it.

$100 for one lap on Jeff? LOL! $200-$300 for 3-5? SMH.

I'd rather do a TD in my own car for that price. Better yet, do a full weekend on my bike. Go faster, more jollies, and learn more. The big names are nice but not THAT nice. Isn't this the same company that I see pop up and offer expensive ass autoX at the blue crab stadium as well?

It's not about the track, it's about the car.

I did 3 laps in the Lamborghini and it was an experience. I consider it worthwhile. That thing was a BEAST.

Different strokes for different folks. I get it though. Similar to the women I know that want to drop big bucks on a damn purse or jewlery...

Cars and bikes are just awesome tools for going fast in one way or another for me. Coming out of T9 on main with your knee on the ground and the back wheel spinning up or pitching a 3000+ lbs hunk of metal sideways is more of an experience to me
