At the Track So that hose...

So yesterday I was replacing my exhaust and when I got underneath I noticed a hose from the top of the valve cover wasn't connected to the other end. Thai isn't my car but it's the drivers side valve cover, this hose. Just to illustrate.




So.... Not sure how long it's been off. Is this thing vital to valve cooling? How screwed might I be?

That should connect to the turbo inlet. If it's not connected, it's not a huge deal for the heads, but you may spit some oil mist wherever the hose ends up.

The bigger issue is if the inlet isn't connected to that hose, you have a big vacuum leak, which would cause it to idle rough and run lean in open loop.
