"ATP Part # RA101 (carbon)"

Does carbon imply this filter is impregnated with carbon? I would like something to help with driving behind diesel in particular, my previous car (Jetta) seemed to filter out diesel fumes very well but I think it had a carbon-filter element.

Unrelated, is it me or does the newer low sulphur diesel smell even worse than "regular" diesel??

Is there any rub or contact anywhere, like the firewall or the hood seal above it when you run this strut tower? I'd really like to get one of these.

yes carbon impregnated, from amazon
Quote:
  • Activated Carbon is impregnated in the filter media removing odors from outside air
  • Static charge applied to the filter acts like a magnet removing fine particles, dust, pollen, and mold spores from the incoming air

Where have you guys been getting the Sport Mesh Grille from? Any place cheaper with shipping than Ebay? Or any place that often sends out coupon codes?

Check classifieds and local forum for used.

I just installed a strut brace this weekend too. Its the one from eBay and made for the XV. Took forever to get it, the seller shipped from HK. Its really lightweight(aluminum) and fits great, no rubbing and went on in a breeze. The quality seems okay even thought it has a big "XV" engraved in it, but whatever.

I drive pretty aggressively so I've noticed a difference with it. I can see if you're not an aggressive driver you wouldn't feel much difference. But this with the STi 19mm bar I put on earlier the Subie handles perfectly to me now

Watch the ebay strut tower doesnt crack/break. Alum is not very elastic so the stresses you are putting on it may end up badly.

yeah, hopefully it holds up. I don't do any auto-crossing or racing so I probably won't ever put that much stress on it. Most of the bars I've found are aluminum like the Cusco, Megan Racing, etc. Also I think you may be wrong in that aluminum isn't very "elastic", I think ultimately it flexes more than steel so if anything its probably less effective, but its the only bar I could find that I knew would fit.

I think the Perrin and Ultra Racing bars are steel, but I don't think they make a bar specifically for our cars yet or any I've found. Hopefully they will be available in the future and if this eBay bar craps out I'll replace it with one of those.

Just installed my Kartboy SS with front+rear bushings. Took me awhile cause it was my first DIY install of anything haha. But I must say the SS makes a BIG difference. Shift throws are quick and crisp. Another thing I noticed was more cabin noise from the coming from the gearbox/transmission. For those that have SS install, anyone else experience this?
