Default Odd sound from the rear of my '13 STI

So this is interesting.

I picked up my 13' STI yesterday, from a dealership 120 miles from my home. I drove tremendously cautious on the way home, ensuring inconsistent rev's, and varied speeds. There was 12 miles on the car when I took delivery, and so I'm doing my best to perform a clean break in and what not. I did drive it home, and it now has 250 miles on the clock.

I was doing 25 miles per hour, SI Drive in Intelligent, DCCD set on AUTO, and have NOT done any sort of aggressive driving at all.

I suddenly heard an extremely loud Popping noise, almost like a tire blowing out.

There was no loss of power, no feeling of dragging from the drive train. It only happened once, and from visual inspection of the car, I can't see anything that would lead me to believe something broke.

Am I just being overly paranoid? I've driven the car since the incident with no repeat.

Haven't heard the noise again. Mods can delete I suppose! Thanks!

Did you adjust your seat before taking off? Even a little throttle can cause a seat to pop into the lock position if it wasn't perfectly set before. Startled you as you were babying it home, it happened to me too lol!!

No, wasn't the seat. I'm thinking what it may have been, was something from the shop area I was driving by. There is a tire shop and some metal / machinist shop that had moved in across the way that I was unaware of. All I know it it was loud enough to appear to have come from the car. Now that its been 2200 miles with no repeat of the noise at all, I'm sticking to the shop assumption.
