OMG the vettez!

Default Good performance/track shops in SD

Guys, where do you go for all your track/specialty needs? Looks like the shop I was doing business with has gone out of business, so I'm looking for a place that can weld, do alignments, corner balance, and understand race cars. I'd love for it to be in/around SD, but I guess I'd be willing to drive a little.

Thanks!

Had an alignment/cb done here a while back, they also tuned my rebound/compression settings to my liking.. My car handled like it was on rails.. http://www.robispec.com/services/.

I had my T2's rebuilt here about a month ago.. http://www.fealsuspension.com/page6.php part of the rebuild included some spot welding. They did a great job, not to mention Odi has a racing background.. that would be a good place to go IMO. Gl.

I would totally do ROBIspec. Why?

Because he is actuly at the track all the time and will help you with your setup (at the track) as well. Unlike almost all other shops that have you show up and they set you up and your on your way ROBI provides track support while others just tell you of there experience in there shop car. Plus hear what other enthusiast have to say about him.

Just my two cents.

Check out Econo Lube N Tune in Clairemont near central SD. Tony just finished working on my car and did a great job at a great price, he has numerous STi's, WRX's, and a 600hp Evo among other performance cars and really knows his stuff. Honest, decent guy.

not sure if you found a spot yet but most of the track oriented shops are either in LA or orange county. you can try crawford performance but i think they mostly work on serious or competitive race cars.

for subaru maintanence or engine work check out subie shop in oceanside but as far as suspension tuning or alignments, youll probably have to go to evasive motorsports or west end in LA like suggested.

havent been to hg motorsports but ive actually been researching them lately and it looks like they work on a lot of exotics. its a place to consider but they might be on the expensive side since they deal with "higher end" customers lol
