Question GRB - Tanabe Concept Blue?

Hey Guys,

Searched quite a bit and where there's a bevy of info for exhausts made by the likes of Cobb, Perrin, HKS, Invidia -- don't manage to read much about Tanabe's Concept Blue.

Owned an RSX-S in 2002 and Tanabe was revered in its forums back in the day. Have things changed?

Seems to look pretty sweet, nice y-design.

Thoughts/Experiences?

Thanks!

I had this on my 04 sti and loved it. Now I have an 05 sti with Cobb.
I am actually thinking of going back to a tanabe.
Can't speak on the dual design though. Maybe check Youtube.

Since having originally posted, from what I've found around these boards, an individual here had a prototype on his GR and it was loud / not street-able.

I was now considering Ark's Grip exhaust. looks nice, apparently flow is biased out one side though.

Is there a thread somewhere to back these various exhausts by dynos? Wonder which does best....

There may be some dyno's out there, but they will be very difficult to use as a comparison unless it is the same car/tuner/weather. Too many other variables on a turbo car to have a good comparison when trying to detect 5 hp difference.
I would go with the one you think sounds the best and looks the best.
I normally am all about best quality, performance, but when talking about cat back there will be very little power differences.

That Ark does look pretty badass with its extra canisters next to the mufflers...

I'm having the hardest time as well trying to find info on this exhaust on an 11+ 5dr! I can't find any sound clips. I've been able to find a few pics on tanabe's website but no reviews or sound clips actually on the car. Where did you get info from?

Did you end up getting it? Link is no longer active. Maybe it was one of the local forum members on here who posted it up. I think he said he was too tame?
