Default Rust on the chassis need help!

I just bought a 02 wrx and I got it on a lift and there was alot of rust in the chassis but idk what the part is called so I can try to replace it please help

Dude your right it is the u brace lol I searched it up on google and thats the part do you guys know if it's hard to replace? I saw pictures of people using some roll cage looking things lol

You can get a used one for $20 or so. Or just not use it. Its 6 19mm (Or maybe it was 17mm) bolts, 4 14mm bolts and 2 12mm bolts. Those bolts thread into welded nuts in the body and sometimes the welds break and you just have a bolt just spinning and not going anywhere.

You can remove it and not use it without issue.

Or you can get an aftermarket one which are $$$

So I could run without it and not have problems? Ima probably get a used one and take it to a repair shop lol unless I can do it in the garage with Jack stands and floor jacks lol

You can do it on ramps. And yes you can run without one no problems.

It has the front tie down points and mounting points for a skid plate/under tray if those are important to you.
