Default Is short ram scoop needed for cobb sf intake w/ airbox? 2013 sti

Heya, I just installed my intake with airbox but my MAF gets in the way when I try to put my short ram scoop back on (the long flat piece that directs air to intake). Do I even need this or will it impede the flow of air to my intake? Thanks

Of course. Got my up to date stage 1+ map. I am not that uninformed about my car. At which point would I need the snorkle? Also, I always thought the snorkle was the intake silencer on the stock piece.....?

You must have installed something wrong. I have that same intake, and my snorkel fits just fine. In fact, the box is designed specifically to make use of the snorkel.

Is it needed? No ... But why would you not want extra outisde air blowing directly into the box?. I would mess around with it some more ... It should fit with no issues.

Try loosening things up and twisting the filter/maf to clear anything it may be touching.

Make sure that you are putting the snorkel on with the top cover off the airbox, then fitting the top cover in.

If your Cobb SF Intake came with the box, you should only tighten the bolts after you put the scoop back on.
