Thanks Jive.

What all factors into offset? Is it just the width of the wheel and tire size you choose?

To be honest I am just looking around and trying to figure out what I need to consider when buying wheels. I don't really care for the xxr wheel that much either because of the universal fit. I didn't know they were that cheap either. I pretty much have my sights set on the Avant Garde M310.

well offset is the spacing from the center of the hub to the outside of the wheel. thats two you gauge if it will be flush with the fender. the wider you go the more aggresive the offset becomes. for example when i switched from +35 offset to a +40 the +40 was more flush because it was a 9.5' wheel as apposed to the 7.5' wheel....

if you go too aggressive then you wont be able to run the appropriate tire size because you'll need a lot of camber to clear and if you wanna be the cool low life kid then stretch is really the only way to slam the car and be flush...but its just stupid.

my old STi is proof that you can look good and not sacrifice ANY handling or driveability. i ran 275's and the car handled great, not rubbing no issues.

you should look into Enkei or work. wheels are very affordable, look great and aren't cheap knock off ****. the Raijin's are similar to the avant garde...or look into the BBS ch...those look good too.

So I could run a 18x9.5 +35 with a 275/35 and I should be fine with rolling of the fenders? I really don't want any tire strech (just don't like that look). I would really like to run the 9.5 to have more rubber on the ground. I just checked out the Raijin's, I really like that wheel and that's about what I expected to pay, if not a little more.

Offset is the distance from the hub to the centreline of the wheel homie

Example:

18x9.5 +35 265(wide 265). Rear rolled. Camber F -2.5 R -1.9

18x9.5 +40 265(narrow 265). Rear rolled. Camber F -1.9 R-1-9

See the difference? Front camber may be noticeable in certain pics. Most often you wont see the difference.

Wheels and tires = millimeters. Variables associated with very few millimeters that alter whether they fit, and do not, and what adjustments need to be made. Same goes for the rest of the car.

Easily. I bit off Jive and current have Enkei RPF1 18x9.5 +38 with 275/35 tires. I'm not "low" and have about a 1inch tire gap, for track. Running -1.4 in the rear.

I could easily go lower and run a tad bit more camber and have zero problems.

i suck at taking pictures, from my thread:
some final shots being low (relatively). Will be raising the car an inch tomorrow, and putting back on the mud flaps. Also looking for a roof rack setup in the near future.
