I would be careful following people. Don't get me wrong i've done the same thing before and the guy is a jerk but your life is not worth something that ridiculous. As the news will show on a daily basis, there are many crazy people out there these days!

EDIT: If by following you meant you were just behind him going in the same direction then please disregard my comment.

I was at a friends house making a custom air box for my cobb intake.
His neighbor comes out and says - why is the radiator on top for???
Me and my friend - its a top mount intercooler for the turbo.
Neighbor - really? Wow I didn't think it was turbo... so you put the scoop on yourself?
Me - -_- ..... no it factory also comes with a wing but mine is wingless...
Neighbor - goes on about ford....

In 2009 while i was stationed in Yakima, WA i went to a 4x4 offroad meet in the dead of winter, theres a hill that these guys were all trying to climb that's abotu half a mile to the top through 2.5ft of snow with ice underneath it, with 1.25in spacers nokian hakka pelitta studs and a slightly modded sti i figured sweet a hill.

Guy in 77' lifted ford f-250: "you should take that little thing home before you break it"
me "bet i reach the top and u get stuck"
ford-"no way tht thing makes it even close to the top u need locking hubs, and four wheel drive to even attempt it"
me " i'll send you a postcard from the top"

30mins later i was up, 50/50 lock engaged kept it in 2nd gear and made it to the top with no problem, f250 got stock 1/4 of the way up.

in a month when the gear finally gets here the new spacers will be 3in, the springs will add 1.5in and the tires probably add about 1in. Ironically the ford driver was also military he was in the airforce reserves, i saw him everytime he came to the base to train, he always shook his head everytime he saw me. He was cool just a little pissed when he got stuck.

Picking up a good friends bat **** crazy aunt, she seated herself. I go the usual neighborhood speed and as usual give it a good third gear on the onramp target boost is 20psi...she then casually asks "....is this a honda civic? cause its nice". Buddy starts laughing, I become flustered and calmly explain that no. this is not a honda civic. But thats the life of being sonic yellow for yah

This guy just bought an 04 WRX and posted it on facebook, his friend chimes in:

Friend: Nice car man, I've been trying to get one for a while. Is it an STI or a WRX?
Guy: WRX with a few mods.
Friend: Sick, is it boosted?

Later on his friend is talking about how much he knows about Subaru's...I HATE people like that.

Guess I implied by it being one lane, one-way. I was following behind him en route to my destination. People are nuts, I tend to stay clear, although I never turn down an opportunity to make a really awkward moment even more awkward. Haha

Maybe Masi Oka should do a Subaru commercial. Show how fast a subie is and then say he didn't even have to stop time to make it that fast...idk /dork

The guy who told me this was an older gentleman I use to work with. He must have seen that commercial a long time ago.

had some ass cut me off Saturday and I honked at him after I had to brake to avoid letting him hit me. He threw his hands out the window like I was the one being a douche.

In his world you were probably not letting him in so he just forced his way over.

Even if someone obviously needs over, I will not leave them room until they turn their turn signal on, then I will create space for them. Hopefully, they figured out what the issue was, but I'm sure most thought I was just being a toolbag.

So after a meeting, a few of us went to lunch ( crawfish!), and took separate vehicles since we had different destinations afterward. When we get to the restaurant, the one who followed me there in his massive F250 says he felt like he was following James Bond in one of his crazy cars! I just chuckled and took him for a spin around the block.

Made the mistake of popping my hood to check my oil at the gas station tonight...

Two bros walk out and immediately notice my car and walk over and initiate the classic conversation that countless WRX/STI owners are forced to have:

"Oh damn, that's a nice car!"
"What you got going on here?!"
---"Thanks. Just checking my oil."
"This a V6?"
---"Nah, it's actually a turbo-charged flat-four. Two pistons go *this* way, two pistons go *that* way."
"That. is. siiiick. You do anything to it? You chip it?"
---"I've done tons of drivetrain & some suspension work, but still on the stock tune until next weekend."
"What's that? (pointing at the intercooler, of course) That a turbo... radiator?"
---"Kinda...That's an intercooler. When the air from the intake (pointing to the box) is sucked through the turbo & compressed, it gets really hot. The intercooler is a heatsink that cools the air exiting the turbo before it goes into the intake manifold."
"So the scoop......?"
---"Stock and functional, the air going into it just isn't actually going *into* the engine, it's just blowing on the intercooler basically."
"Daaaamn that's cool. So is this fast, or what?"
---"She moves. Actually next weekend I'm installing an aftermarket intake, intercooler, exhaust, carbon fiber driveshaft and a few other parts. Should be a lot quicker."

He was practically in shock, just loving it. so naturally his friend finally chimes in, "hey, so how much ***** you get with this thing?" Laughing and just trying to appease them at this point, I go, "hey, boost gets you laid, right?"

The first guy asking all the questions thanks me and shakes my hand lol.

(and who am I kidding, the only girls I end up being interested in are the ones who will listen to this engineer giddily explain how forced induction works.)

^ my female friends always tease me. "There's one of your buddies. You going to wave to him?" I always did and they'd return it, and she would just laugh at me...
