I'd be wicked hungry if that were the case. All my meals are solid, no supps. But I only eat twice a day. Why the heck didn't you eat!?

Fun cardio right now! Yay

"My dog ate my homework."

I have encountered a slight problem: my kids were playing with the scale and it is now missing. The search resumes tonight.

You might as well buy a new one, unless they absolutely know where they put it. You'll probably just find it in 5 years in some obscure place

I can't speak knowledgeably about nutrient absorption and whether or not solid foods are better than liquid in that sense, but as mentioned, solid foods tend to taste better . I think there's something to be said about developing an unhealthy relationship with food when you experience a quick loss thanks to something like a liquid diet though. Don't be surprised if your weight spikes up quickly and certainly don't use a liquid diet as a healthy way to shed some quick pounds.

It is just a quick way to lose water weight, but it won't change your body composition. You just experienced what most wrestlers, fighters, bodybuilders, etc... typically do towards the end of a cut to make weight. Except they typically manipulate water intake to trigger the suppression and secretion of antidiuretic hormone for a week or so before switching off solid foods to a lighter (weight-wise not calorically or nutritionally lighter) liquid diet.

I ate so much yesterday (and the day before). So much junk food/ candy, it was awesome. Scale is up big time, which I don't care about because it'll just go back down to my regular weight in a day or 2.

And I think I got my parents cold... So I hope this doesn't get full blown. I want to workout!

Sorry I was missing last week! I was at training for 12 hours a day m-f. I did weigh in last Sunday at:

Attachment 70748

Today.... Well I am really up, need to snap a pic.

Last week was bad, training is UNLIMITED free food everywhere. I mean every snack in the world, free. Meals were all you can eat buffet style of top quality food. It was bad.

The coup de gras was easter chocolate, brunch and family dinner.

Oh and I drank every day.

Oh well, this week back to 4 days of gym and extremely low calorie diet.

One last note, I had an RMR test done while a training. Turned out my RMR was measured at 2400 calories a day before exercise.

Don't eat extremely low calories. It'll just put your body in starvation mode and you'll store all your fat. If your bmr is 2400, just eat under that and you'll burn calories. Easy math. 3500 calories for every lb of body fat to burn.

Extremely low is a bit of a relative term to what last week was. I should really say that I am just going back to my 'slim' diet.

What does that mean?

Protein shake in the AM - ~250 calories
Lunch - Chicken Salad with strawberries and poppyseeds - 324 cals
Dinner - XXX Chicken with some sides ~ 500-800 cals
Snacks - ~300-500 cals of almonds, yogurt etc throughout the day

Thats what a usual day is when it is diet time. Inevitably I end up getting snacked to death here and there which needs to be reeled in.

15,250 cals this week and no cardio. Might add in some liss this week, but will probably just adjust macros towards more fat.
