My car had already been down 4 months and 6 more landed in the winter. The logistics weren't on my side. It was easier/cheaper to get a different fuel system setup that worked naturally on the car.

Well this is not car related but we got a surprise dump of snow here in northern Michigan over the last coupe of days. I close to 15" at my house and more snow to come overnight and into tomorrow! So when in Rome as the saying goes...... I back-country skied some knee deep pow today at an old closed ski are near my house this afternoon. I only had a couple hours to skin up/ ski down and yoyo the area today but it was good snow! Tomorrow a 4 buds and I are heading to another closed ski area a bit north to track that up, our beta is that no one has skied it since the new snow! WOOHOO! I'll try to take some pics and video tomorrow and report back here!
Glad the XTI is tucked in a garage downstate and out of this snow!! |

My XTI D25 CnC'd, PnP'd heads
Here are some pics and a flow report before and after on my CnC'd, PnP'd D25 heads. I have Supertech +1mm valves and dual springs and Ti retainers with Kelford R-199-B cams. A couple of these photos are also posted above.

Most good cylinder head shops go over the CNC work by hand to perfect it. I know any Cosi head I have ever brought Dave from Headgames gets a full rework by hand. To blend the valve job and get around the right areas

Thanks buddy! Fuji liked them also and said the flow numbers were good. Junior said they flow well from tuning my car.
On another note I installed my Tial Q BOV with the Torque Solutions Subaru adapter and bypass plug yesterday. I also shot a few in car videos with my Gopro the other night and will get some daytime vids as well. I'm trying to find the right location for the camera as well as the resolution. One thing I noticed in the vids was the sound from stuff in the back rattling around, the mic is more sensitive than I thought but my exhaust is really quiet and you barley hear the gate open! Stay tuned!! Last edited by manitou; 03-29-2013 at 01:14 AM. |

Here's a quick teaser video I shot the other night. I had some tools and stuff rattling in back hatch area, so I apologize about that background noise in this. The Gopro mic is pretty sensitive. I'm working on the camera location and will get some better footage and video to post up here. This gives you an idea of how it feels and sounds from the cockpit of my XTI!

Your car is a great candidate for preturbo wet compression. Look up wannaspeed.com. It uses an air atomizing nozzle to get a really fine mist. I'm using that along with an aquamist kit. I actually notice a reduction in spool, not to mention the top end.

Dude. Let off the throttle sooner! You must be hitting over 9k on some of those shifts. The engine unloads and revs faster than the needle can move and faster than the rev limiter can control.
You're making me sweat over here. It's still a 79mm stroke. |

That speedo just jumps from 70 degs to 110 degs in like a second...Can't see the actual speed. BUT DAMN... I need a ride in this toaster!
Just saw Tony post a video on FB of you launching in front of HP Tech....lol Last edited by vinny.dtw; 03-29-2013 at 04:26 PM. |

I have the tank mounted in the trunk. It will slow your compressor speed down for a given flow rate, allowing slightly reduced backpressure. I noticed a 200rpm drop in spool and more torque once it turns on. Unlike post intercooler injection, I found that it requires less tuning and noticed torque gains right away. No compressor wear. Once you test the system, you'll see how fine the mist is. |

Oh here is a clip of my XTI on the PnL dyno with Junior doing a 3rd gear pull on pump gas from Monday's 3/11 session.

We were having a little fun this afternoon on this 55 degree bluebird day. I was over at HP Techs, dialing a few things in on the XTI and adjusting the launch control and flat foot shift. Angel has a fun little 100 yard test strip out in front of the shop so the boys shot some video of her leaving the lot! Leaving for the groceries....gotta hurry! haha
I hope you enjoy as much as we did! Last edited by manitou; 03-29-2013 at 11:37 PM. |

This is especially intriguing because of the TMIC I am running with the speed density tune. Even if the tune was left as is, the benefits that I see are that it will cool the intake air and the ECU will make less negative timing corrections on higher boost. |
