Default Catalytic converter for 02 2.5

I need to replace my stock cat, and I'm not sure what to get. Currently I have a Stromung cat back 2.25"with stock headers (soon upgrading to a set of Borla UEL's). Any recommendations that won't set off my engine light?

As far as sound goes, I am looking for the subie rumble without being too loud.

Any advice will be much appreciated

There is one cat up to 05 n/a. The thread title clearly states it as an 02 2.5. WRX is 2.0

Seriously recommendation: stock replacement or a QUALITY "high flow" cat. For example:
http://www.stromungexhaust.com/99-05...catalytic.html

The Borlas will give you the rumble. A cat delete, typically called a track pipe, makes it all sound raspy and TOO loud. The Borlas with some type of cat and Stromung's catback will be happiness to your ears... loud-ish, but not "kill your ear drums" loud... and RUMBLY!

Speaking of which... that it's a bad price for a cat... the really quality replacement one we bought for our Forester was $400-500.. meh.. my dad bought it, not me. They're really well known to last forever though.. much more than stock apparently.

My MY01 has two cats. they're in the same pipe, but there are two separate cat elements. One at the very front, and one just before the second O2 sensor.

Tsudo makes a HFC that will bolt up to the borla replica headers, but I've heard you still need to use some sort of spacer on the secondary O2 sensor, just because it's not as efficient as the factory piece.

random technology has one. i have it installed on my legacy. if you put the headers on your run a greater chance of CEL. if u do, u should just need a rear o2 sensor spacer. I put the spacer on and haven't had a CEL since.
