Glare? I'm not sure what you're talking about. Like in your eyes while driving? Or other drivers eyes? I drove behind my dad on a windy, hilly road and he said that my lights were pretty mean to other drivers. But as far as I'm concerned, HIDs are much safer and better visibility-wise for the driver.

Does this kit change colors? Doesnt it come with a remote? Why did you add a switch?
No worries. I'm an engineer (but my strengths are not in electricity!) you can do it! PM me and I'll give you step by step info. It is really simple. The rally armor mudflaps were 100x more difficult to install. As for the switch, yes the kit has a remote and changes colors but for regular driving I pretty much leave it on one color. If my remote craps out, I'd be S.O.L. It also makes it easy to switch them on and off quickly. With the remote, I kind of need to aim it under the steering column. If you like the look, I guarantee you could do it yourself pretty cheap.

You are the type of person that I swerve towards on a 2 lane road because I can no longer see because your glaring hids in a Halogen reflector have blinded me

To the new venetian red, welcome to the club, I see we have the same car and you are aiming for my mods list, I will pm you some stuff of how mine came out.

I agree, the black surrounding the fogs looks good on the venetian red. Especially when you have the black sport grille.

Haha while I agree with your fight against improper hids, I think you might be taking it a little far. lol

My favorite is when people combine hids and headlight lens that are all foggy and dull.

In my defense I have not actually done that(swerved intentionally), but I have closed my eyes and hoped for the best.

And I have only flashed someone with my highs on a 2lane 1 time, and only because they flashed me. I was on the motorcycle, I had my one single high beam on, and they flashed me multiple times, so I then used the rocker switch and went into strobe mode, lol.

Haha oh ok.

yea i resorted to just holding the horn down as i drive by. The best is when its a lifted truck that would have blinded me either way, and they have pupil-burning 9000k hids in the reflector lamps.

Sorry for the off topic. I added yellow overlay/bulbs to fogs this weekend and will post pics eventually.

Yeah, I'll take a lowered car with halogen HID's over a lifted truck with halogen HID's any day.

for the DRL/High Beam LED, you lose the High beam function correct? it doesnt get brighter when you flash your highs?

Correct. The lights are very noticeable and great for flashing at others and being visible during day and night. However, they offer far less light for the driver. It's the nature of the LEDs.

ill admit it does look nicer with LED for DRL but i need that high beam esp if bad weather etc.

I put Nokya yellows in my highs as I don't ever use them, and they look neat while they're off. And my fogs I used LED's. I found the light output of our fogs iffy anyway, so I'm happy with the look. Our fogs seem more cosmetic. But that's probably the nature of those small bulbs. My 11 Si had the H11's in the fogs, whereas the Impreza has them in the lows. The LED fogs match the color of the HID lows nicely.

You may have just spelled my next project. I've pondered ever since I got my Impreza what to do with my foglights. Or... lack-thereof.

At first I wanted to just leave 'em. Then I wanted to install LARGER foglights and modify the housing. Then I just wanted to install aftermarket foglights to fit in the space. Then I thought about modifying them to have a silver wing through the center like on the WRX Concept we saw.

...but now I think I wanna do Ice Silver Metallic (my body color) on 'em like this and put foglights in 'em.
