Have a Nice Day? Front Wheel Bearings Making Brake Noise?

Hey guys, I have a 2002 WRX with 184,xxx miles on it. I know I need a set of front bearings, but for the last few days, when I hit the brakes, it has a high pitch squealing noise. It actually sounds almost like a belt squeal, but its not. I had the wheels off about 2 weeks ago and checked the brake pads and rotors and they are fine. Is it possible that the bearings are causing the high pitch squeal? I'm not trying to put off putting the bearings in, I just need to make sure that I'm not in for a big surprise when I put new bearings in. I'm going to do all 4 when I do them, just to cover all bases.

Step back and think about it for a second. Your wheel bearings are bad and you know it. So you are getting movement/play/vibration through the entire drivetrain. Of course you are going to get other odd noises. Fix the bearing be happy!

I figured that it was the bearing, I just wanted to pick the brains here and see if somebody else had experienced this issue lol. Thanks for the response!

No harm in that. It's hard to diagnose strange noise issues, when you know that you have at least one issue present. Repair what you know is already bad and go from that.

Bull****. Throw parts at the car chasing the noise, while ignoring the known issues.
