Default replacing my stock turbo and an aftermarket cat back

im getting ready to replace my whole exhaust and while i have it out im going to try to go ahead and put a bigger turbo in. I dont want to go too big cause i dont want to lose to much acceleration, i have a hook up on borg warner turbos and would like to know what would be a good size to go with for a borg warner turbo. also the cat back that is on there came with the car and i dont know what model or name brand it is, can any down-pipe fit or do i have to get something with or of the same name?

thanks

I think you are grossly underestimating the amount of work for a proper turbo swap.

You will not find a definitive answer here. This is a very vague thread and we need a ton more info to make an informed decision. Where do you plan on getting the car tuned after your easy peasy turbo swap?

I suggest you find a tuner in you area, go over your options, budget, and what you want from the car. He will give you a better answer than the asshattery that is "Newbies & FAQS"

is it a stock dp? If so, any catback will work that works with the stock set up.

As far as turbos, I'd call the manufacturer and ask what turbos are suited for which situations.

What tuning are you doing (you will need to tune)? I'd talk to the tuner as well.

Finally.....GO NOLES!

Listen, you just asked a question that you should ask your TUNER. In the few posts you've made on this forum it's obvious you need to slow down and READ. Click the UNABOMBERS MANIFESTO sticky at the top of this section, read it 20 times.

Broseph- You posted a very vague, very general question about a FULL turbo swap in the Newbie/FAQ forum. Then you created a whole new seperate thread and did it again. And you're upset at the responses you're getting from STRANGERS on the interweb...???

I can tell you right now that you're in over your head, if you're serious you'll call and visit a preferrably reputable tuner and go over your options with them. HINT: you'll need more than a full exhaust swap...

You have many, many readings to do. Better get started, the sun is falling from the sky and these forums get downright nasty after dark...

I apologize for making an informative first post to your question you posted in a public forum. Don't like people responding with what you don't want to hear? Then talk to your uncle and the tuner and stay off the internetz.

5 grand for a wrx, you can go easily for a clean VF48(600$), STI Tmic (300$), Injectors (300-400), DP + Catback (1000+ for reputable brand), Sways bars(400) and for sure a protune. you will have enough remaining cash to invest in some cosmetic modds and sexy rims (Volks E37 maybe :P) and tires. More cash? STI 6 speed transmission. just my opinion.

You need to research and contact the person that is going to be tuning your car. Tell him what you want from the car and he will tell you what parts to buy. It's that simple
