Replaced my cabin and air filters.

AEM DryFlow Air Filter

It may just be all in my head, but after replacing the air filter it seems as though my car is more responsive when getting on the throttle.

Also I have a question for you guys. I have a 2010 impreza 2.5i, is there any difference between suspensions on the 2.5i platform or are they the same since 08?

If they're the same, I may try and upgrade to 09+ WRX struts/springs in the future.

Holy crap those were dirty! I do mine at least once a year, they never look that bad, LOL. When I used to run a K&N I thought I felt a slight difference, sometimes.. but I didn't want to risk oil getting on sensors that it could damage, so I am back to paper. That AEM looks interesting.

Pretty much the same through the years.
I just upgraded to 2010 WRX Struts & Springs, ride height didn't change much, they're slightly stiffer, but everything feels more stable through and through. Can corner a little faster, but if you don't have rear sways yet, I would advise you to start there. You can grab WRX RSB for cheap too, you'll need endlinks etc.

Yeah, I picked up a 09 WRX Rear Sway Bar and it has helped quite a bit over stock (aka nothing there ) Just wondering if there was a difference between my '10 and a WRX as far as stock struts/springs go. Thanks!

Si senor.
There is a difference. The best I can come up with is these numbers I found online, not sure of their accuracy but the 08 WRX was the same as the 08 2.5i, 09 WRX forward was made pretty much the same as STi.

Stock WRX ('08)----------151#F / 136#R
Stock WRX (’09+) --------217#F / 194#R

According to Subaru, 40% stiffer in 09 vs 08.

My next move is stiffer/bigger sway bars, because I'm not going to lower the car.

It's certainly less mushy I'll say. As far as your 10 NA, I'm willing to bet you still have the same spring rates as 08.

Looks good. Mine needs a hand wash pretty bad- and a clay bar, and wax, and touch-up paint.. actually I need the entire front end repainted from regular stone chips that come with time.

Thanks!

I just use the two bucket method with Meguiars Gold Soap. I don't use the wax/ wash stuff. Its gently enough to not strip wax but also does a decent job cleaning.

This sunday I'm doing my first full detail of the season. Pretty much similar routine except I'm doing ... Wash, Clay, Adams Brilliant Glaze, Collinite 845 Wax (2 coats in 2 separate days)

I'd skid the glaze. Basically pointless unless you are trying to hide minor swirls. Especially on a silver car.

I love Meguiar's Gold Class. That's all my car has ever seen. It takes me about 8 hours to fully wash/ dry/ wax my car. Kills my back.. I shouldn't even do it at all really (three back surgeries). I use Meguiar's wax too.

It's nice on a sunny day with some ice cold beers. Love the smell of that stuff for some reason LOL.

Nice thing about Meguiars is that it's dirt cheap (in terms of detail supplies) and its readily available nearly everywhere.

I already purchased the glaze because i've heard good things about it and just want to experiment. I also detail my friends cars on the side so its a good product to have for that extra shine.

Couldnt agree with you more about cleaning up the car with a cold beer.

8 hours for a wash and wax? Jeesh, I thought I was picky haha I can wash, clay, glaze and wax in about 6 hrs. And that also includes washing all the windows and door jambs.

The best meguairs wax i've used is the nxt 2.0. Great stuff.

Definitely agree with you there. I use a lot of their products for my interior as well. The dash protectant stuff is my favorite. Cleans up everything nicely and doesn't leave a wet look. Its a nice matte clean finish. Plus it smells good
