anyone know where we can get front lip for the 2012+ 2.0 (non-wrx/sti) ????? everytime i search impreza 2012 it shows up for wrx/sti frustrating sometimes to filter through all that. i dont want to pay for the oem sti lip its pretty crazy expensive for a piece of plastic.

no ez lip or garage lips. i know of those already.

This is the cheapest I have been able to fine the sti lip for online. Other then that finding it private sale is going to be the cheapest way. But that is the lowest price under retail I have found.

Got a reply from TEIN today regarding my inquiry on something for our model:

Thank you for your inquiry. At the current moment we are looking for a test vehicle. Once our R&D stage has been completed we can potentially release a lowering spring kit and coilover kit. Please check with us periodically to confirm if we have release product for your particular application.

Should you have any further questions, please feel free to contact us.

I'd do it if they come get my car, give me a loaner and free springs! ;-)

Has anyone used CAN Bus proof LEDs in their "eyebrow" parking lights? I'm looking for LEDs to replace those 194 bulbs but most are CAN Bus proof and I've read that using CAN Bus proof bulbs in a non CAN Bus application is bad. Can anyone confirm this?

Canbus shouldn't apply to those...as it doesn't apply to the license plate lights either. No resistor/canbus proof LED required.

Thanks for the reply, but I was more interested in hearing if putting CAN Bus proof bulbs in a non CAN Bus application would cause problems. The reason that I'm asking, is because the LEDs that I want to get for the eyebrow lights, happen to be CAN Bus proof.

Should work just fine. Quick test, pop out your license plate bulb and test it in there, as long as it works, then you have no issues. Aside from the bulb costing more (extra chip on the PCB), it should perform identically.

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. On superbrightleds.com, they have a warning not to use CAN Bus bulbs in a non CAN Bus application. They don't explain why tho.

Update: I just got off the phone with someone @ superbrightleds.com and the rep told me that CAN Bus bulbs can cause feedback issues in non CAN Bus cars. He said that customers have experienced all types of weird electrical issues with them in their non CAN Bus cars.

Do a quick cost benefit assessment, if they will give you the coilovers for free and have them already installed for you... that's usually over 1000$ right there. Maybe you can rent a car for that week, just make sure the rental is cheaper than the price of the coilovers and you'll come out a winner. Especially if you were planning to get them anyway.

Not sure. Just repeating what I was told.

My guess is that the chip that sends a signal to the CANBUS system, can cause electrical interference in a non CANBUS application.

Cool Might have already listed the model #, but didn't see it

Hey brother,

Is that the "692 540 A" version? Found one on eBay for $180 shipped, and here for $160.70+ship.

I just want to make sure it's the same as what you've got.

I ordered and installed the Megan Racing MR-SB-SI08FU1P, and it's just not what I want. It works as intended, but come time to add or change brake fluid it needs to come off (aka - interference.)

Thanks,
Jim
