So i called a authorized dealer for Tokico, and they claimed that tokico has filed for bankruptcy. Can anyone confirm this?

I think what's sad is that THIS thread is the first result for Tokico bankruptcy.

Wat.

The first hit I get is the paperwork for Tokico's case against GM who owed them money.

Wow. It boggles me that they can be an oem supplier to so many companies and go bankrupt, but then again I know nothing about corporate management and finance.

They are most definitely not out of business. They were just at SEMA with new products IIRC.

I don't think they are going bankrupt. As you said they are a major OEM supplier. It would be major news in the auto industry if this was the case as companies like Ford would be scrambling to get shocks from alternate suppliers to which there really aren't in large scale.

Yeah but tokico does brake calipers, master cylinders, slave cylinders and a bunch of other hydraulic parts for nearly every car and motorcycle manufacturer. KYB could never pick up that slack quick enough to be competition.
