If anyone is interested in meeting up near the cog railway parking lot and hiking up to meet the main group let me know.

Had thought about this but from the pinkham side. Maybe lions head or boot spur. Only thing is if they do an evening cruise it would be dark on the way down. Could get a ride down on the pinkham side if someone was willing.

I love this idea. However, scheduling everyone to be there on an open day with excellent weather could be difficult. I have organized a springtime mountain run through Vermont & New Hampshire. Starting in the southern portion of VT, we tackle Rt 100 and eventually pick up the Kancamagus highway through NH.

Facebook event page

Join the page, invite your friends, I would love to see this group of individuals grow into a small community of enthusiasts!

What's the minimum number of cars required for a group rate?

I too would be very interested in marketing a trip from central MA as long as it isn't on a drill weekend for us reserve and guard troops.

It's not really group rate. It's the same price. We just get to go up and be up there for an hour at sunset by ourselves. Great photos to be had for sure!

More details to come.

I am getting together everything and will make a new, official thread.

Meet is going to be in September.

Keep in mind the point mentioned earlier regarding snow please.

August would probably be a better idea. Snow, or even cold temps, spells disaster.

Early Sept. is ok according to them. I was there two years ago in Sept and it was still nice.

I was at the summit this winter and you could see some stars even in the middle of the day, I'd love to see that view at sunset so I'm definitely down for this.

I am definitely in. I would prefer a date later in September, possible October. But whenever is fine with me!
