Thanks to the fantastic people at Performance Shock Inc (PSI), my Ohlins flags have been rebuilt and are scheduled for delivery on Friday of this week. If you guys need suspension work done, give PSI a call! - http://performanceshock.com/

Still no word on when the motor will be done though.

I just got word from Phil that my motor is all done up and ready for pickup. I am on schedule to pick up the motor on Wednesday and with a bit of luck it should be installed the following weekend!

Thanks guys!

I spent a few hours today putting the suspension back together and getting everything adjusted. My motor arrives on Wednesday and with a little luck, I will have the car running next weekend!

The car behaved pretty well at the end of the year and the motor tear down and inspection showed that everything looked really good. I feel like I may be beyond the "battle" stage at this point.

LOL, more than $60k. Thankfully, I have an income that allows me to piss a few bucks away on my toys without putting me into debt (I am 100% debt free). When I see people, especially young people on NASIOC using credit cards to do crazy builds on cars that they require to get to work it makes me feel sick!

Amen to that! NEVER Finance a toy. I owe a few thousand on my STi itself, ( $5,400 I think ) and I get **** all the time, you gotta be so far in debt because of that car... No, My student loans aren't getting paid off as fast as they could, but honestly, I dont know if I'll have another chance so I wanted to get it done fast!

Still looking like wednesday tom?

Its starting to feel that way. This has honestly been the perfect storm of crap that has been TOTALLY out of my control. Lets see if I can re-count all the issues thus far:

Non-functional Turbo Kit
Turbo Failure (bad kit instructions)
2nd Turbo Failure (Still hadn't found the issue)
Failed fuel injector
Second failed fuel injector
Failed Block (it broke as soon as everything else worked)
Third and fourth failed fuel injectors
Realization that there was a defect in the block and that I would loose another motor if I pushed it

After the bad block thing came to light, things have actually been going well. Other than tuning issues, the car ran well for the second half of 2012 and ran flawlessly after I put the new Hydra 2.7 in. This most recent round with the motor was a preventative thing and the suspension was long overdue maintenance since it was supposed to get rebuilt over a year ago.

Yes, Wednesday is 100% the day! As luck would have it, I have a business trip that will take me within 45min of Element on Tuesday/Wednesday and I plan on stopping in before lunch time to pick up the motor. You cant beat getting paid to drive down there, staying over night for free and getting paid to drive back.

Hell yes! I travel a lot for work and capitalize on that whenever possible. One of the few pros of being salary... i put in 50+hrs a week 80%+ of the time so on the rare occasion i can stop and bs with someone i will. ... Coolblue05 and i have definitely ramped up feed back from that haha.

I hope for the best Tom. Will you have to go through break in again at all or is she ready to drop in, fill with fluids and go? What about Tuning?

Man I need to find a job like urs tom. Lol I'm a paramedic. Been doing it for 10yrs now. I'm getting burnt out on it and looking for a career change to spend more time with my family and work more on my project car.

I also hate financing so the only thing I did that for was my car itself. All my mods are paid in cash or debit so I don't owe. If I pay with a card it is paid off asap. I use cc sometimes just to keep my credit up.

So if u have any new career suggestions I'm open to them

Mine are 12-24 hrs depending on the truck I work. We stay pretty busy here in new Orleans . I wish I seen 5days off a week. The only time I see that is on vacation.

I work a 2-2-3 but on my days off I'm usually working so we can afford the better things. Not that we big spenders.
