Hey PJ ridesmart has been doing a promotion for first time riders.

They will include your suit and boots for the day, you ned to call way ahead so they can make sure and have your size and then they also give you 50% off the price of the trackday.

So the price for this last weekend would had been 60$.

I might need to get some pictures.

Yeah and when you called me about a ride Saturday my first thoughts were Gay Pride Parade in Dallas or you were going to pick up a bike. I was really surprised when you got the Monster.

Marcus used to have one of those DRZ super motos... it was quite nifty. I have no idea where he is now, I believe he sold the bike though... he got married, then disappeared. I'd kill myself on a supermoto bike in like 12 seconds... not that I don't want one anyway.

Added some handguards.

I have all the gear. That pic was pre-loading it on my trailer to bring it home.

Hows the head shake at 90mph? I would think the front end would be light and might need a stabilizer but you might be able to rid it with fork adjustments.

I haven't had it over 65. Its rock solid stable at 65, but 65 on what is essentially a dirt bike is a little hairy to begin with. You don't buy a supermoto to do 90. I mean it will (tops out around 105) but it isn't designed for it, so it isn't much fun at 90.

But at 40 up a flight of stairs in a wheelie

I have trouble north of 70 on the Monster 796, it isnt bad, but it just isnt anywhere close to a supersport. My neck muscles and arms get workouts just trying to stay in a straight line. 90+? Fuhgettaabouutiit thats a trick in its own.

On a supersport, 130+ was easy cheesy, on the monster i feel like im going to fly off the back at 100, even when tucked!

That being said, south of 70. esp since the 14t front sprocket, this is the best bike ive ever owned.

That's why I didn't buy the Monster I looked at a month ago. I test drove it, and 80mph just felt dangerous. Not a ton below that, but the vibrations above shook my bad wrists all to ****, which is why I bought a cruiser to replace the SV.

Years of martial arts just don't treat your joints well and make all the fun things just too damn painful.
