Just picked up my 2012 wrx hatchback on sat could not be happier. Mike and everybody from evanston were great. Easiest car buying ever lol.

I went to Evanston Subaru and didn't like the vibe there. The person that "took" care of me wasn't the nicest person and they tried to set me up on the price. I took my business elsewhere and I couldn't be happier.

By far the best car buying experience for me. I picked up my 2011 WRX Sedan with the help from Mike Olenski, the sales manager. When I decided to do this it was after the tsunami in Japan and getting a white one was almost near impossible. I contacted him again a couple of weeks later after losing hope and he was able to find me a WRX in SWP that is set to go to a dealership in Texas. He made arrangements for the white one to go Evanston instead and he traded another car to go to Texas. Mike set all of this up even before the car hit US ports. Thanks to him I finally got the color i've always wanted. Most of the paperwork was prepped over the phone and when I came in to take delivery of the car... it was a smooth transaction, nice friendly staff. The service crew are polite and well mannered. The parts guy is awesome for giving a Nasioc discount when I didn't even ask or mention about it. Great dealership and will always come here.

I sent a friend to Mike Olenski this past weekend and he purchased a 2012 Outback from Mike. He said the process was easy and they got a great price. This is the second person that I've sent to Mike to get a car and I would hesitate to do it again.

Wanna give thanks to Mike and Omar over at Evanston Subaru once again! Got a great price for a brand new Impreza for my mom. Amazing customer service and definitely the best car buying experience any of my family members has ever had! My entire family was treated exceptionally well by the entire staff throughout the whole process. Omar himself even went to pick up the car in Orland Park since they were all out of the base model at their location. And it was on a Sunday! Once again, thanks to everyone at Evanston Subaru, especially Mike and Omar! If anyone is ever in the market for a Subaru, Evanston's is the place to go.

Ordered a 2013 WRX on 8/15 from Mike, nobody would come close to the offer and he is 3hrs away from me, and picked it up 10/18. Mike was helpful throughout the whole process, not only to me but anyone else in the 2013 Order thread. Pickup was a pretty quick process since I had to get in and out as quick as possible. Evan worked mainly with me at the dealership and he was great to work with as well. If I ever need another Subaru I would hit them up again. Sorry I'm not closer to get my maintenance done there!!

How can I forgot to leave a +1 review for Mike at Evanston Subaru?! Enthusiasm, this is the proper word to describe a true Subaru dealer. Evanston did it and did it very well. Plus awesome deal for 2013 Base Sti! Keep loving forward!

I think what sets this dealership above the rest is the straight-forwardness and honesty of their sales/financing. Customers feel like they can trust their dealer and it reciprocates back to the employees. I mainly dealt with Mike, Evan, and David and all of them are enthusiastic about their job. From Mike answering NASIOC PMs at weird hours of the day(pricing + recommending some good ideas), Evan getting me setup into my STi on his day off, and also David answering my multiple questions AND beating the excellent rate I got from a credit union It's the little things that matter. This is my first ever new car purchase and I felt good about it. What else can I say? Great price, great sales, great dealer!

No comment on service just yet but because I've had such a great experience so far, I figure why not?

Just put down my deposit for a 2013 WRX. Mostly dealt with Mike via email. Walked into dealership and started process within 15 minutes(Mike was with another customer). I was greeted by Angie and told her I was looking for Mike. Everyone was very kind and everything was straight forward. Great experience and not to mention killer deal. Although it was not the lowest quoted price I received Mike evidenced why he could not beat the price and the provided a thread that showed the ethics of that dealer that did quote me a lower price. Only 3 more months till I get my wrx! Haha

Hope someone may be able to help as I'm a newbie here and can't start a new thread specific to my location.

I'm in Atlanta, new to area, Looking for reco's for a dealer to purchase a new impreza from in Atlanta, Ga area. I don't care about their service dept as I'll be using my local mechanic for maintainance.

Also, what final price have folks been getting for a 2013 impreza sport premium with manual tranny? I'll be trading in an outback, 2006, but with a lot of miles, and putting down a decent down payment (1/3 cost).

You should be able to start a new thread in your location specific forum after a few posts. If not you should at least post in another thread that is in your local subsection. Pricing can vary from area to area so your best bet is to ask for price quotes from the 3 closest dealers to you and see where they come in.

I went by Evanston Subaru this afternoon and was very impressed

I met with Mike (Evanston Subaru here on the forums). First - he knew all about the year changes on the WRX's, which was a good sign. I wanted to see a the black silica color and he was kind enough to pull the plastic off of a new car so I could get a better look at it, which was a pretty accommodating.

Then it came down to talk pricing. First - I'm trying to get a car that's hard to find so this is going to cause him some grief - there are none within 200 miles etc. . Right away - no negotiations - he offered me the car for at least $1500 less than the price I had to negotiate another Subaru dealership down to, *and* Mike gave me the price in writing.

They valuated my trade-in a couple thousand less than I was expecting but he was respectful (didn't talk down to me like has been my previous experiences with dealers) when he pointed out the issues that brought it down to that price and I couldn't disagree with him.

Evanston Subaru & Mike get two thumbs up from me so far - can't wait to get to see how the actual purchase goes down and get in a new WRX

Plus Mike's one of us - an enthusiast (we talked shop for 10 minutes after we were done and I was outside) - and their coffee's pretty good too

EDIT: Mike was able to place dibs on exactly the car I wanted within 2 days

I bought my new 2013 Subaru WRX 5-door Limited from Evanston Subaru (in Skokie, IL) two weeks ago and it couldn't have gone better

Both Mike (who is no longer with them) and Omar were a pleasure to do business with.

-No fuss
-No tricks
-No bogus fees
-Good communication
-Amazing price on car for being in NASIOC
-Amazing price on Subaru Added Security for being in NASIOC

Omar even came back to the dealership the night I picked up the car on his birthday so I could pick it up when I wanted to after work

I payed a few thousand less than I would have at the first dealership I went to. This has been my first positive dealership experience and I wouldn't hesitate to refer anyone over there

Obviously Mike is no longer with us, but we can still talk shop, and give great pricing.

Has anything changed over in service? Mike was always awesome on the sales side, but we had disagreements over the quality of what went on in the service center. I have a recall outstanding on my car, which I haven't done yet due to needing to drive across Chicagoland to a different dealer.

Actually, you didn't make any changes to management, Mike did by quitting. The only reason Mike quit was because you treat people like crap! I have purchased many cars from Rob Paddor, my first purchase being in 93 by a sales man named Dino Callabrese. Olinski sold me my next 6-8 cars. I will never purchase another car from Evanston Subaru again after the stories I have been told. Bill Snowden is still the man and Kurt is a class act! Grand Subaru just gave me an awsome deal on my new BRZ. Thanks Grand Subaru, I'm going to Disney World with the savings

Default Evanston Subaru

Let me just say that I have been buying cars since the 70s. In 2013 I have had the worst and best experiences in car buying.

The worst being Mid City Subaru. Absolute creeps and flim flam artists. To the point where SOA and the district sales manager had to stomp them. To be clear SOA is fantastic and made it right with refunds and loyalty payments.

So how does that tie to Evanston? Well since my Mid City issues I have posted all of the sales b.s. for everyone at work to see. I have sent Evanston and Grand Subaru some $385k (and yes I have b.o.s copies) in new and used business.
In June, my wife totaled her 2000 Volvo S40. I emailed Evanston and explained I needed a car asap. with xyz options and no b.s.

The price they texted me was the price when I got there. The car was exactly what I asked for and was waiting for us. The interest rate stated was interest rate on paper. the dealer cost stated was the dealer cost written.

No one at Evanston called me a name or grabbed themselves inappropriately.

Howver, when it came time to pay. My loyalty check for $500 was voided and my service contract for my Forester voided by Mid City.

I did buy the 6/60 gold warranty and 2/24 service. The price was standard. The price on the car was excellent and beat Gran, Highland Park, Libertyville, Subaru City Milwaukee, Roto, Schaumburg.


Really the best part was that they were pissed for me and gave me all of the printouts I needed from the network.

SOA honored the $500 loyalty and even gave me an additional bonus for the business I refered. SOA forced MId CIty to reinstate my contract and reimbursed me costs associated with dealing with them.

I'd say that the process to buy from Evanston is the easiest I have ever had. I should have negotiated a little on the contracts, but interest and car price can't be beat.

Evanston Subaru has gone out of their way for my forester on service, the impreza on sales and service, and for all my coworkers and friends that have gone there.
