Hey!

Looking to get a WRX body kit for my stock 2010 Impreza Hatchback.
Is this possible and where might I look?

I have a 2010 Impreza. I want to make it look angry like a WRX. So essentially, I want to find out where I could buy the body kit that is on the WRX and put it on my Impreza.

Trust already answered your question, get a wrx hood from your year range and boom. If your trying to get it to look like an 11+ then start researching what you'll need cause your going to have to find a part out vehicle and figure out how it all goes together.

Ugh... This question again.

It is possible to get your narrow body impreza to look like a widebody, but it's not a simple bolt on body kit. You need a new front and rear bumper, grill, front quarter panels, rear doors and then custom work to fit chopped off rear quarter panels.

It will cost you probably ten thousand in body work and parts. I've seen it done, just don't do it

ohhh, i think you have the base version and you want to go to a premium one right? so like

This:

to this?

Am i close?

If so, you gotta buy a front bumper with the from lip/skirt thing on it. then buy some sideskirts, then change the rear bumper to get the diffuser. and a bigger spoiler. and of course the hood.

If you have a sedan: the hood, the front bumper, and side skirts, and rear bumper. one less part.

Am i hitting the spot? I could try to help you out if you post pics of your car and tell me what year you want to make it like. If its a wider body 11 wrx. forget it, money isnt worth it. but if its a narrow body wrx (08-10), i can get you links on how to change the fron bumper, spoiler (hatch), rear bumper. Idk about the skirts.

I guess I don't see how my question is confusing. I have a 2010 Impreza Hatch 2.5i. I thought that implied that it was a base model. Regardless, yes it is a base model. and what is this premium version you are talking about? either way, i dont know what you guys assume i want a '11 body style. like one of the guys above said, that would cost way too much money. im talking about in my year range. 08-10. Now, a WRX is that year range has a much cooler (whatever word you want to use) look than a standard impreza. So what I would like to do is find out where I can get a body kit that is on a WRX, same body style, not the wider '11, and put it on my impreza. im assuming it would be straight forward bolt on.

Please let me know where I can find these. So sorry for any confusion

I can do parts for you. I cant find a body kit.

Hood: I couldnt find the part number to the actual hood, but here is the hood scoop? http://www.subarupartsforyou.com/cp_...p?partid=16588
I would go to your dealership to get this part.

Hood: but it isnt from subaru http://www.carid.com/2009-subaru-wrx...s-2294201.html

Front under spoiler: http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1286
It looks similar to the wrx's but if you really want the oem one: http://www.bumperoutlet.com/product/81789 Only problem is that one is used and banged up, but they do have the part number on that one. Go out to your dealer if you want a new one and make SURE that it has that underspoiler on it.

You'll need a sports grille to make it look good- http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1267

INSTALL: (both grille and bumper-i've done this to my wrx a few times to put stuff on)- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqSfCZzEJ3A

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThP_ei5Efj0

Side skirts (sadly i do NOT have installs on this, get it done at a dealer)- http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1407

Exhaust tip (or go find an exhaust system for a bigger tip) - http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1441

09+ spoiler - http://www.subarugenuineparts.com/pr...oducts_id=1406

Install Spoiler: (i've done this too, real easy) http://www.wrxforums.com/forums/11-3...onversion.html

Finally rear diffuser: This is the factory 2.5i one http://www.subaruwrxparts.com/shop/p...idcategory=266

or you could do the 2008 wrx diffuser- 57704FG050 (part number)

Because you're going from a standard rear bumper to the diffuser version, you'll need the side supports for the longer ones. The P/N's are 57731FG090 for right and 57731FG100 for left

Install (never done this): http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show....php?t=1973445

and NO you CANNOT just add on the black diffuser and rear skirt, it is part of the bumper-trust me, i know.
Best of luck!

The 08-10 WRX was the worst/most boring of all the WRX models. 08s were the toughest sellers, and the 09s only did better because the power bump. Why go through all this trouble and money to make a replica of the worst wrx? Go get an 08 if u want the look.

It's not a wrx body kit, its a different car, this is the kind of **** that needs to stay with the Honda kids, don't fake something you aren't

^^^ dont dis my car. It isnt the best out there but its still better than most cars on the road and its still faster than older wrx's. Its just a sealthy look. plus this wrx is still faster than the 2.0 litre models and it keeps up with the 06-07 models. I dont see how it is a bad car, it just happens to look more family oriented. What is yours? A souped up version of my car.

A WRX is still a WRX. I dont care how it looks. This new concept is no different. I am not a fan of it, but its still a wrx.

Although I do admit, why make it look like something it is not. I'd say do the body kit but keep the hood out of it.

I agree with this nearly 100%. However if he did not get the wrx hood, then I think it would be just fine. The spoiler on a hatch flows really well, but By utilizing oem bumpers/parts, I think it will turn out great IMO.

Did you even read the post I made with all the parts? Thats your body kit right there. There is no one stop body kit, and some parts do not just bolt right on, need to screw some here and change some there.

Exactly. Although, I think he could get by without the sports grille. Its really expensive and the stock '10 and '11 grille's look pretty decent IMO.

I'd say get an EZ Lip as well. only 35 but on ebay you can bid and i got it for 21. heres a pic of it on, plus i'm getting EZ lip sideskirts too and a bit extra for the rear.

THat lip does make a difference, even lower look at stock height. I wanna lower it but money and practicality prevents me from doing so.

I'm not personally dissing your car, but it is true, the 08 is the most bland/boring WRX ever made. The 11+ changes made it a million times better. Even the 09 with just the power increase made it more appealing, that's why the 08 can be found cheaper too. Anyone looking to buy used would prefer the 09. I'm not knocking you or your personal car, just stating the facts. I worked for SOA at the time in the headquarters. The car got the power bump in 09 right away because the 08 was viewed as a major dud. The power upgrade was slated for 10 or 11, but they felt something drastic needed to be done to get it going again.

^^ talk about mature, I sorry for going on a tangent like that. I like my bland look, but i also want more so i do understand where you are coming from. They do have capabilities as well, just needs some love on them.

I've grown on the narrow body and dont really know if i'd get a wide body, though i do love the design que, I think its a bit to much for me to personally drive.

that makes me sound so old, and what am i? 20 now? or it could be that i pay for my college and car.

So I am noticing alot of people have these lips. What is the point behind them? protection? look? I'd like to hear any opinion

If you look at the parts list I gave you, it's the Front bumper with the lip, the sideskirt on the sides, and the rear bumper in the back. If you like, you could do a spoiler and grille too. basically everything but the hood, which would be the only thing left between your 2.5i, and a WRX. Make sense?

The lips, if you buy a real one, would help aerodynamics and drag. Not by any noticeable gains on the streets. Mine is a cheap rubber one, not even real so its for looks, most people do it for looks. Lower your car, the better it looks, thats the general idea.... unless its dumped, then its pretty nonfunctional.

So if I got a rear diffuser, that means getting a new rear bumper that supports a diffuser?

So if i wanted to accomplish a rear end like this. What would I have to do? Do you add a diffuser to a regular bumper? or is it a new bumper that has a diffuser? Sorry for my confusion. I really appreciate your help trustkevin.

If youre talking about the 2.5i one, no, the molding you would get should just stick on i believe.

If you talking about changing the whole rear to have the black diffuser like the one on the WRX's, then yes, You would have to buy a whole new bumper and some supporting links to mount it on correctly.
