Got pulled over for tint today... but i got let off with a warning. Might have been my blonde hair and blue eyes or the rain... Didnt mention my 12" Black vinyl strip on the windshield though.

235s for now.

But they're Star Specs. For some reason I feel like I might have some fitment problems with anything bigger. I also got them used so I should burn through them pretty quick. Then I can go bigger from there. I'll be shooting for 255 ZIIs.

I have blond hair and blue eyes and it never got me out of anything. Now if I had "t&a", that's a different story. Course I don't.. only chicks get away with that stuff.

Star Specs run big but a 245 fits easy!

I was in 17x8 +43 rocking 245/40 star specs and it would rub over dips in the road and when I would take turns hard and I'm only lowered on h&r springs with konis

ZIIs run wide too. Everything I consider runs wide. If it doesn't run wide, I'm probably not interested.

Ugh, progressive springs... Did you do any fender work? Camber?

Hmmm... 330/335 with a 0.6" drop. Although the Konis probably bring you down a little lower.

But the wheel width isn't as important as the tire width. The tire is going to rub. Not the wheel.

All of my research tells me that a 255 should fit. My gut says it won't.

Potenzas are great and just roll with camber adjustments and a 255 will fit but I think it's over kill for our cars!

Except RE-11s are expensive.

But looking now, there's a RE-11A... Much less expensive. But also a harder compound.

Looking at the specs... ZIIs are still wider by 0.4".

I know this much tire is probably overkill. But I want it. I've been scrolling through the Meaty Tire thread too much.

Ah. All my fenders are rolled and the fronts are pulled a bit. My camber is at -1.4* (Max). 255 really shouldn't be a problem.

Some posted a bugeye with 17x9 RPF1's on 235/40 (I think Feds or Specs/both run wide anyways) and it looked perfect, IMO.

Would I be safe on stock studs with a 5mm spacer? If so can someone recommend some?

Was the +35 fairly flush?

I would like to know that as well. Apparently the best 5mm spacer for our cars comes in a 2 pack from H&R with longer studs. Bit pricy but worth it for the safety and piece if mind alone.

Any of you guys interested in a custom license plate relocation kit? I picked up a Grimmspeed one and won't need my current one anymore. Does the exact same as the Grimmspeed I just want to support a local company.
