Ive seen most people use the wagner electric spray gun and laquer thinner to get the smooth no texture look.

Any spray gun should suffice as long as you thin down the plastidip.

Looks fantastic. I wish there was a way to make the white blend a bit better with SWP, it looks like a burn victim lol. I did my badges in white and that didn't stay on for long.

When she rolled over to 170k a little over two months ago...

I peed the dip off the hatch's light bar and re-did it last night at 1am since I couldn't sleep. Now it reminds me of a 3rd gen OBW:

Tjkusher, what did you do between the bumper and lip with the plastidip? Did you just spray and wait for it to dry, then peel? Mine is looking pretty janky these days in terms of finish... Probably going to do white with pearl like suggested.

That's exactly what I did, although I should have cleaned it, scrapped it out, and re-aligned/tightened the lip (mines an eBay knock off that's drilled in every which way, hell it's actually holding most of the bumper together). Altogether the front bumper lip portion was one can of white.

I can't wait to try the pearl on it... Ill probably end up doing the roof black before I redo the bumper again though.

Plasti dipped my rims first week of owning car. They look great, love the matte black accent to pearl color..

I am looking into possibly doing Hood + Roof as well. Not sure just yet.

Also installed mudflaps this past weekend, and just got my tail lights back from a body shop, got them painted red. Need to take new pics this week.

+1 I'm going to be dipping my bike in a month or two. Plastics blaze blue and the frame/wheels blaze yellow

Photoshop I did...

My bike has a shorty titanium pipe but will look similar to that.

Awesome hah.
I have a blue R6, but I have a thing for white bikes.
I also have a habit of wiring in LEDs for everything.
Along with the white dip, I also am going to wire in some running led lights scattered on the bike, you know....for visibility at night.
Running my stock muffler sadly for now since someone stole my black motoGP shorty
But I have a carbon fiber slip on sitting in my room...

Nice, love the R6 but too much of a track bike to daily for me. White bikes = <3 I have white and red (for brake lights) led kit laying around but waiting for my clutch to come in... 35k on the OEM one haha. And exhaust is Akropovik full titanium header to muffler, came with the bike, exhausts for bikes are so overpriced!

Yeah at least in the pic it kind of does. Just get a breast cancer license plate and you'll blend in.

Just plasti dipped my stock 2012 wrx wheels yesterday in black. Just got a couple questions for people with their wheels done

1. They have about 24 hours dry time on them now. I know plastidip is a rubber but will they always feel sticky or will they be more like the feel of paint after a few days. If not is there anything you can put on them so dirt won't stick to them as easy? Glossifiers are not available where I'm located.

2. I seem a few people online saying that tire shine will eat through the plastidip, is this true? Because I have a can of armour all tire foam and I was wondering could I just spray it around like I normally would? Or would I have to try and put it on with a rag or something?

I won't be putting the wheels on for another week or so yet anyways.

Thanks
