Put in new front passenger axle and ball joint and tie rod end. changed oil and trans fluid and added the cocktail mix to my trans....all to find out that the trans got messed up when the axle went so now on to a 6speed swap. No more glass trans for me.

Yesterday, a friend of mine assisted with installing new (better) IM to TGV gaskets, and new spark plugs on my '08 WRX.

The gaskets had blow-by, similar to other owners with the same model year; a vacuum leak when they were cold.

Bought ingredients for the transmission cocktail since I already spilled all the fluid out yesterday when pulling the clutch. Pulling the flywheel tonight after work to drop it off for machining tomorrow.

I've always had MUCH more luck with single fluids as opposed to cocktails. I've tried two different cocktails, neither were as good as single fluids (extra-S or otherwise).

I wasn't impressed with the stock wrx brakes so I decided to try out some Stoptech street performance brake pads. If these don't do the job I'll upgrade to a bbk.

Removed some free weight. I don't use it so might as well get rid of it. : D The JDM a/c pump isn't nearly as big as the usdm.

Sprayed the non-matching front grille the other day... sanded off the light silver and flat black, to dark metallic grey. Pics to follow.
