Any plans on going V-mount to complement the wrc hood?

Actually the current setup is terrible for air flow. The top mount actually puts positive pressure in the engine bay and combined with the positive pressure from the FMIC little to nothing is achieved. Positive and positive pressure = no air flow.

Lol you guys are funny. So many opinions. To clear a few things up. The wrc scoop gets rid of the static pressure under the hood. The hot air will not heat my tmic because I'm running an fmic. All the research points to it cooling under hood temps. I will eventually go v-Mount. Yes I would like to color match it. The digital camo is HAND PAINTED by me lol. Its not a wrap or water transfer. I have a new bumper skin but its not painted yet and honestly this car is being made ready for the SE Subaru tail of the dragon meet so not much for time to pretify the car. Its performance right now lol.

Also the headlights were just cleared and also the car hasn't been washed since before winter. The paint looks fantastic when clean and claybar'd

Yeah, I realized that you had done the headlights after I posted... forgot about the earlier post of your headlights until after I had posted... Doh! >< . I didn't realize you had hand painted the headlights. Didn't you use a water transfer to do your LCAs ?

^haha...yeah I've been through several setups and a lot of parts. I'm finally where I want to be besides a built motor and some nice wheels...and maybe some bigger brakes besides the wilwoods...and a rotated setup...and....ok I'm not done. My build thread is here.

You're never going to run out of things you want to do, trust me. I've said this is the last thing I'm going to do for the past five times on just my headlights haha

Agreed, and understood, however I have been "into cars" for a lot longer than what you are interpreting from my statement, let me clarify. I think it is just the in-between stage that is a tough look. It is like when you grow some hair and are two weeks out from the next haircut. That one picture I guess just seemed to accent everything at once. But spend $5 and paint the FMIC and piping, that is not too big of a jump. My car is FAR from a show car and I like the little rough around the edges, and I LOVE cars that are super beat and the owner embraces the "rat rod" style. But it is that in-between that can look tired.

I digress, no hate though

Not really unique (or even completed yet) but I finally took a dremel to the tray and wedged this inside there. I needed a way to ignore this meter when I don't need it. Flip the lid
Although I'm just not sure what to fill in around the meter with. Some 1/8" textured ABS maybe? Just leave it as is?

It almost seems like the japanese engineers had an inkling as to what they were doing

I found a cable you can run straight from a amp to your iPod or iPhone so no need for a deck.

Have you considered polishing that CF to make it glossy? I personally prefer the matted/fresh-from-the-press look it has now.

Why such a weird-ass gauge layout? It doesn't flow and looks cobbled. Things in life/cars are symmetric for a reason; it's generally aesthetically pleasing. I would redo it so that the gauges are laid out like this:
___________
.(...)......(...).
.......(...).......

Or
___________
.......(...).......
.(...)......(...).

With the A/F ratio gauge in the middle since it is different from the other two.

That is my biggest gripe is the af gauge not matching. I've seen them laid out the other ways and just didn't like it that way. I'm putting the volume control knob for the iPod cord in the other blank spot.

Again....suggestion just for kicks

.......(...).......
(...)..[..]..(...)

triangle with ipod cord at the bottom center and A/F at the top. Great handiwork for sure, but that would drive my OCD nuts.
