Default 2006 WRX/STI Repair Manual CD

has anyone bought a 2006 impreza/wrx/sti service manual from e-bay? The company who sells them are called "Eris Studios". it retails for $31.00......the item number is 120023453596. I got my CD today.....they sold me a CD-R. When i check the properties on the CD it shows the CD has a capacity of 702 MB and that there is 702 MB of free space....which means they duke'd me! Wether they did it purposely or not.......Im friggin ticked. Anyone else had dealings with these guys?

If they did it on purpose, I don't know why they even bothered to send the CD-R. Probably a mistake.

Your right, it probably is a mistake, but you would think that they would check their product before they ship it so it doesn't inconvienence people like me.

Anyone selling the service manual CDs on Ebay or elsewhere is selling unauthorized copies. The only place to get them legally is through the Subaru tech website-
http://techinfo.subaru.com/html/index.jsp
For about what you paid for that CD you could have gotten the 72-hour subscription and downloaded the manual yourself directly from Subaru.

They have a limit of 50 pages per hour you are able to download. Last manual I saw was huge so that would take a long time to do. The service for longer gives updated info/changes and what have you, so for a mechanic working on your car it could be useful.

I recently downloaded my car's technical manual. 800+ PDFs at a limit of 50 an hour is a real pain. I saved the HTML index page so I can actually find the right chapter PDF. I also used a program to combine all the PDFs into one giant, searchable file. They don't make it easy...
