Default Help with timing belt - Westchester Co NY

Hi All,

I just bought a used 2000 impreza outback sport 2.2 with 157000 miles. I understand I should inspect and likely change the timing belt and related parts. It was also stated that this can be a DIY job. But if seals are needed, it would be more difficult.

Another member said I may succeed in getting guidance or even help from a local member if I posted here. So here goes! Anyone local who has experience with these things?

Thanks,
Larry

google, scoobymods, search you shall find everything. The hardest part is the drivers side cams. You should get another person to hold the cams from moving. Maybe worth it to have a professional do the job lol.
